Who do you think will be the starting 11 for tonight and do you think we will be able to read anything into the 11 that start the game? Myself I think the 11 that start will probably be the fittest of the players that have returned in their particular position and tonights fixture will not be a statement of intent although if someone really stands out that might influence Sean. My thoughts are Fielding Moloney Cunningham Flint Williams Adomah Elliott Kelly Anderson Davies Baldock or Taylor but as I have no idea of the fitness or not it is just a guess. What do you think?
I'm hoping for SOD to give the new guys a chance in this game. With the utmost respect for Ashton and Backwell United, I don't think we should be worried about not getting a result. This would be an ideal time to put some of our experienced/underperforming players with the new players in order to get the teams playing well together. My team for tonight would be: Code: -----------Castanheira---------- Moloney--Flint---Williams--Bryan --------Kelly----Kilkenny------- ----Adomah---Wynter---Davies---- ------------Baldock------------- I'd probably swap out Kilkenny and Baldock for trailists or academy players, but both might want to stay in the team to get their form up.
Charles-cook Batten King Williams Bryan Wynter Morrell Burns Reid Ajala Krans play the youth I am unsure how many subs will be allowed but bring on as many senior players as is allowed at half time and during the second half
S O'D has said he will play the whole of the Bristol City first team squad during the match if they are fit.
'I'd probably swap out Kilkenny' Can't believe there's a City fan on this Planet who wants that Aussie tw*t starting any game for BCFC. Must be a WUM. PS - To all the clowns (and Pork) on here - If Elliot is still here in August he will be FIRST on the team sheet.
No disrespect to our opponents, but they're not exactly Real Madrid, are they? Perhaps Kilkenny will find his level?
It all depends what SOD wants out of tonight. Is he looking at fitness? how his first 11 will fit together? or is he looking at the fringe players and whether they can perform or look to bring new players in? He has two keepers on trial and a new first choice keeper that neds games with the defence so would imagine that one keeper on trial will get half a game tonight and the other will play in the next. I would imagine it will be a younger team tonight as how many of teh older players are in his plans if he can look to sell but on the other hand by not playing them could upset a few players if they do stay. Personally I hope he starts with Taylor and Burns up front as they could be the Owen/Heskey partnership of League One
It must be his fantastic technical ability, passing ability and all round great play that makes you think he's a fantastic player?
Am I one of the few or one of the majority, who wants all those who have been here since Millen and those managers who preceded him OUT. Adomah excepted but he'll be gone soon for money anyway. And there are one or two from DMc's days who I'm not bothered if they stay or not. SO'D really does deserve a total clean sweep, if he is to get his ideas through to the squad.
Absolutely not. More than anything, I feel that some parts of the staff and squad are toxic, and that unless a clean sweep is performed the old guard will continue to be the core of the squad, and their failings will be the failings of plenty of good players that play for us. I don't think we're at the Chelsea or Real Madrid level of player power, but I'm inclined to believe that there is more than we'd like, considering how quickly the squad gave up last season.
Logger - Elliot is not the player he was - Junior killed him, but in L1 (if he's still here) will be SOD's 1st choice CM. If you've ever kicked a ball in your life you'd know how difficult it is to play against Elliot. You obviously haven't.
#BristolCity v Ashton (1st): Roos; Maloney, Flint, Williams, King; Woods, Kelly, Reid, Bryan; Davies, Taylor. #BristolCity v Ashton (2nd) Charles-Cook; Wilson, Carey, Fontaine, Cunningham; Ajala, Kilkenny, Wynter, Dobie; Holloway, Krans. Bristol City FC ‏@bcfctweets 16m Adomah & Elliott rested after international duty; Anderson and Baldock out with slight niggling injuries. alot of youth in both the first and second half teams tonight
Why have you played yourself against Elliott, or are you just being a grumpy bastard again Victor It must be really lonely in your world filled with all of us lesser mortals, I bet your a bundle of laughs when it's party time at your house.
