Those people wouldn't happen to support a club that hasn't won the league for almost a quarter of a decade would they? <whistle>

Good one Dave. So having a **** is what you do to work out? I would have thought necking ten pints of wife beater and kicking in a kebab shop window was more becoming of the discerning Chav.

except I didn't, if you can quote me comparing the two that'd be great.

not really the point tbh Swarbs, regardless of how good/bad you were, my point was that we were still better. The reason is irrelevant and makes no excuse, otherwise I could excuse why we've been so poor. At least when we were poor we managed to rack up a couple of trophies, this is one of my points also.

Of course he hasn't made the PL more attractive, why would he want to spend **** loads on a club to do that? He wants Chelsea to win everything, and for that he can't be blamed. There are currently 5 teams who have the capability to fight for the title, Liverpool could too if they strengthen correctly and stop wasting money on talentless players. The gap between the top 6/7 and the rest however, is huge sadly.

    1) I agree other teams had more of a chance in the 90s, but as a fan of a club who has had significant investment I don't condemn what happened one bit, I care about my club, not anyone else's, they can choose as they wish.

    2) They do play in a **** league, but they'll still be a threat in the Champions League, that is if they both get/stay there.

    3) and no, he didn't make it more competitive, but as I said to Swarbs why would he want to? I don't get why anybody has posed such a question as it carries no logic, people seem to think it's a bad thing that he didn't create more competition.

Drogs, does it bother you that your success was born from the suffering of millions?

I have no issue with what he says, he'll know far more than any of us about it, but makes no difference whatsoever to me or any other Chelsea fan.

Cascarino makes a valid point too, happens all over the world, we've just managed to grab the limelight. Also what he said about looking at it from a sporting point of view was spot on.

But surely being used as you are for political and seemingly criminal means concerns you.

It probably wont end all that well down the line.

Some of what he said is news to me, I never knew he openly admitted it in court for one thing.

People like him, for all their wealth must live in far of the Russian authorities, they have form for dealing with those who crossed them in the past.

If in fact we were being used he'd have ****ed off by now, he's spend just over half a billion. Us being used is Syed's opinion.

Again, you're mixing hope with reality UIR!

From what hes said, Roman ****ing off seems unlikely. Chelsea are essentially saving his life.

The reality is Russia has a history of assassinations and political murder. Its not too unlikely that Roman isn't on their radar, they have gone after many like him. some have gone to court, others not so lucky.

funny that, when we won our first title under his ownership, I can't count the amount of times I heard (from United fans) he'd be ****ing off in a year or two. Now he's actually built a dynasty and you get a sniff of his past he's going to stay and get 'caught'! <laugh>

In all seriousness, he bought Chelsea to gain popularity for protection from that ****e, he's certainly achieved that aim.
