Cheers Ash it's oil burning somewhere as I had it outside my house, there was some oil coming from the exhaust as well
Oh dear. Without seeing the vehicle, it's hard to say. Could be piston rings on their way out but more likely the turbo vanes are on their way out.
I've just come from the dentist. .... hate them. On some nasty anti Biotics now before tooth out in a week
Yes it does jager. There's little vanes/veins that supply oil around the turbo and if these start to go the turbo will soon start acting up. A second hand turbo wouldn't be Seriousley expensive and they aren't too bad to fit tbh. That said, it may not be that, but it's the most likely cause.
Well it looks like the injectors, the oil level is well up in the engine block, and its probably diesel leaking into the oil. So an expensive job I guess and need to take it to Shorts to see if it is that. Off to buy another car whilst that is being done
I'm looking at a BMW 3 Series Diesel, has to be Metallic Black and low mileage, though I'm also looking at another MX5, would love a Z4 but the engines are gas guzzlers, and I don't like burning the readies, I'll be getting a Metallic Black Base ball cap to match the BM if I get it, nice trip to Bournemouth thrown in as well!.................... PS: I've looked at a few Smerks, but they are not for me, I'm not old enough, bet Jagers is though!..................
Isn't that what jenkins uses on his transfer trips? No wonder we still don't have a bloody striker!...................
Will be a very expensive job if you keep driving it and experience 'diesel-runaway'. Can you not just have the oil changed and then keep an eye on the level in future.
Jager , I do and is in Llansamlet business park , the guy is brilliant if your still having probs .......
But if its drained it will only fill again if there's a leak, it needs to be fixed . But I bought a new car today so not as urgent as previously. Been meaning to have a second car as I can't use my company vehicle for personal use.
