NUFC offer increased bid of 18million Euros for Aubameyang

We are reportedly to have upped our bid to £15 million yet today it's reported (by his father) that no bid from us has been made ???? He is apparently going to Dortmund for £13 million. Can we really believe anything coming out of Newcastle?

Just had a trawl through what Google would shoe me of quotes from Aubameyeng's father. Couldn't find the one everyone is referring to, but found quotes in the last 7 days stating that he was heading to Monaco, Dortmund and England. Changes his mind quicker than a tart changes her knickers

Alot of speculation now hes going to Dortmund, SkyBet have stopped all bets. Apparently for 15M Euros. I guess NUFC have a strict budget on what can be spent on the striker. Whats worrying me though is good players are becoming out of our league budget wise. I dont see any other players other then a huge gamble on bent. I just cant see any other strikers from foreign top leagues coming to NUFC unless we spend more wage wise and transfer wise, I dont like the idea of raiding 2nd tier leagues again.

I really want to see Ba back, Ideally i wouldnt mind seeing Bent here, Bent on loan to replace shola and Ba to replace.....well Ba lol I would be pretty happy from that. Cisse, Ba, Bent it still looks scary on a team sheat.

 

We're going to end up with a bottom feeder or **** all at this rate. That list of apparent striker targets compiled by the club must be growing thin by now.

 

I hereby predict Gameiro to be the next name that we are showing imaginary interest in/putting imaginary bids in for.

One thing this does prove is that not even the local journo's have any idea about the goings on at our club until the club itself makes any announcement. I can handle us missing out on the lad because he looks top quality and Dortmund are more to his level then we are.

It's the phantom ****ing bids that piss me off. Drip feeding the journos a bull **** line about a bid that's never taken place so they can trot out the usual "we tried our best" line.

Also after our January 'bid' for him it became apparent bigger clubs were going to be in for him and his price would go up to an amount we know Ashley won't pay so why did Carr carry on scouting him??? I mean those scouting trips cost the club money, why not scout a player that we CAN ACTUALLY AFFORD?

 

Ah well. We nearly got him 'over the line'- just not quite all the way.
Anyone else getting really worried by our lack of progress?
