Mancienne is a centre half and once looked like he would be the best thing since sliced bread. Not even heard his name for awhile, wonder what he's been up to. From what I remember of him he is a very classy centre half like James Chester who is quick and excellent with the ball at his feet.
@MCFC: LOAN NEWS: @abi_bra will remain on loan at top-of-the-table @GodsetDrammen until 31 December 2013 Abdisalam Ibrahim
He has played defensive midfield, but he is primarily a centre back. The player we're supposed to be after is from a Premier League club and Macienne's in Germany.
I'd be very surprised if it wasn't Lee Cattermole. Dan Gosling from Newcastle also fits the bill, but like Cattermole his injury record isn't great.
He's unspectacular, but he's young and a solid player. He just has more injuries than Homer Simpson did skateboarding over Springfield Gorge.
5 signings in the bag and by my reckoning we still need another 4 more (GK, CM, 2xST) That'd make 9 signings and I can't really see us getting that many. Maybe we'll just stick with Jakupovic?
Wouldn't complain if we did, but I think we need a 3rd choice goalkeeper for the PL and that's probably Jak. I still think there's something in this Moore thing.
Yeah, Sky Sports picked up on the story back in January (last decent bit of insider info I had, beat them too it ) and we were named along with a few other PL and Championship sides. We've been linked since in a few newspapers (as recently as mid June, well after the fee for McGregor was announced); the reason I think we're still interested is because Brentford didn't go up and we did so therefore we'd be an attractive proposition for him, plus we can offer Brentford a player or two and a bit of cash in exchange. Had we not gone up, I wouldn't have thought we'd still be linked.
Just seen this on Twitter: http://eyeonthecubs.wordpress.com/2013/07/02/prince-harry-cardwell-joins-the-royals/ Bit worrying that a top prospect and local lad has chosen to leave City in favour of signing a contract at Reading.
Interesting, but Reading might have been able to offer him a better pro deal when he signs next year. He looked decent in the FA Youth Cup, hope he can make a name for himself.
I know Harry, my lad played with him for North Cave Tigers U9's several years ago, his dad didn't like the set up at City at all.
He's able to just up and off? I thought only premier league clubs were able to do that to lower league clubs? What a load of crap.
Yep. A whopping great £12,500. That's half a weeks wages for a new striker, not a bad deal on our part.
