Hooper and Austin News!

@HDMsport: There has been movement on #hcafc bids for both Gary Hooper and Charlie Austin today. Full story in tomorrow's Mail.

tbh it looks like Hooper is going to Norwich.

 

Hopefully wake up to some bloody good news that we are so close to signing a really needed striker

 

You could've easily said that 5 or 6 times last season.

We could still be in the hunt.

 

I think it will be a case of being turned down by Hooper, who'll sign for Norwich and Austin's fee being agreed and talks taking place.

Maybe this has caused us to move the game along a bit further.

 

Unlikely, they've already turned down our bid of £4m so why would that change anything? If they've had a bid accepted (so it'd be £5m) then we'd have a choice to make either to go for it or leave it, but that doesn't affect us greatly

 

I bet it's something incredibly underwhelming.

 

Either that, or something they said a week ago worded slightly different.

It is the HDM we are on about.

Either way, I'm sure Burnley will put messages straight out into twittersphere denying anything and everything!!

 

Already out there that Hooper wants too much and Austin talks progressing.

That's what Humberside said yesterday, then Burnley disclaimed any suggestion of a fee being reached.

 

If it was to be of any interest think Phil Buckingham would have tweeted it by now.

I blame the Fail for all these 'rumours'
then again they are in the business of selling papers, so they have to do something I guess, but why does that paper have to be so ****?

Anyone read the non news on the HDM site? Seems it will be Austin or Hooper from the article. Despite the fact they are completely different players. I think we need both plus a third option too to bolster our attack.

 

I would always take the figures papers quote with a very big pinch of salt!!!

 

They will buy one of them and loan in whichever other type of player we are left without.

The interesting thing would be if, by some miracle, Burnley AND Celtic accept our offers, which of the two players we actually go for. Having said that, I still think think the figures quoted are wrong and are actually higher, something I doubt we will ever get to know about.
