Don't you think bringing someone in of a similar age and physique but no league experience will make him (Britt) feel undermined as he is farmed out to get more experience whilst his 'competitor' gets to be part of the 1st team squad having never played league football?
The clubs needs come first, not the players ego's. In any case, we needed to bring in a proper centre forward, Britt and FF are more wide forwards who work the channels before cutting inside, they are not centre forwards. Before this signing the only true centre forward we had was Deeney. Centre Forwards 1st Choice: Troy Deeney Backup: Uche Ikpeazu Support Striker (or Wide Forward) 1st choice: Fernando Forestieri Back-up: Javier Acuna If thats how Zola see's it then this would mean Britt could go out on loan to a League 1 club.
Very predictable..why say something positive when you can dig around and find some badly thought through negatives...
Good news - let's hope some defenders come in too. Can't be just outscoring everyone again this time round. Need to shore it up at the back too. Tough life at the Vic at the moment !!
Yeah we let in far too many goals last season considering we were playing with 3 centre halfs, not enough clean sheets for a side that finished 3rd. I really do hope we sign up Ekstrand and Angella this week (not on loan). They would both be very much welcomed and important signings as we cant go a whole season with just Nos, Lloyd and Hoban.
Not quite with you there Mr Wooter, fact is club in same league seemingly happy to let a player go to a rival. Can tell you,as a local, that club is very determined to be back in the Premiership and are working towards that....so logically dont see this player as part of their plans but hes ok for WFC.The public arent always told whats behind a transfer-but wot I spoke of appear to be the facts ...so its not my ' opinion' at all. Now Reading, a club of a similar size also recently taken over ,I have some knowledge as I live in the area - are showing a clear direction towards the new season. Watford ? still dont seem to know what theyre gonna do re all these loanees and have charmingly said in effect 'mind yer own business' if asked !!; still dont seem to know what they wanna do with the East Stand; DO seem efficient at shipping OUT players;have just recruited a decent player by reputation from Forest ...but Mr Chairman you cant exactly be accused of splashing the cash so far.May have only been a story, but the likes of Vydra being hawked around other clubs to go on loan presumably to the highest bidder. If true, is that what Watford fans really want to see? Things can obviously change, but as of now and with a new season looming can anyone not wearing yellow and black tinted glasses say that all is positive with the club. A bit of stability would surely be good for this club...looks a long way orf to me.I do understand the position the club was in after the last regime, but these owners seem very reluctant to invest up to this date.
I think the number of goals we concede is less to do with our defence, more to do with our style of play. Of course, it would be nice to win 4-0 every week, but this is not possible. The alternative is to play like Cardiff - bully teams off the ball, concentrate on defending at the expense of attacking, grind out 1-0s and 2-1s. No thank you!
