says steps down I am guessing (at this stage) that he will still be some sort of Operations manager - and do the dirty work of the negotiations. Anyone got any more insight on this?
The key words in this for me are "We are at a time in the development of the club when we have to balance immediate ambition against our long term stratgy for success" Now, why is the cynic in me interpreting that quote from Haigh negatively? Sounds to me like "don 't expect a lot of cash for players this season"
They have their uses. Thats why I give them a bonio biscuit now and then. Funny to live on another clubs website though, I don't even know if Millwall have a website
I'm not sure either , maybe they have a paper or something , but if you could see your way to chucking TC a treat that would be nice, oh and maybe a nice long walk in the woods !!
Well I think this is good news. In my personal opinion I think he has been a bigger problem than Bates over the years and its refreshing to see this change Also to me stepping down just means he was asked to leave
Could never get my head around, why he's been involved with the club for so long. What does he know about buried bodies.......... Fooks sake he was Geoffrey Richmonds right hand man all those years ago at Bradford, and came with Richmond to the club when everything was going belly up post PR Pete. The mans been used and abused by some of the worst con men in business and Bates even had him lying in 2 court cases and giving confilicting evidence to the FL/FA tribunals.
2020 he also says ''we have a fantastic manager in Brian Mcdermott and we will be investing in the squad this summer, that coupled with attention on driving attendances and interacting more effectively with our supporters' there is positive as well if you look
I know, but ....... this is from the man who was born on the centre circle of LUFC's pitch............. but then wasn't, quite. Leaves quite a bit of scope for manoevre I think
As my old man once said, he was an idiot as a kid and he's still an idiot now. Shame he's not gone completely, but as long as he's not overseeing transfers its a start.
I personally think its what you call boardroom chess! people are manipulated into positions, then the axe falls. Was'nt that old twat Capt. Birdseye supposed to be in that position for a good while, they manipulated him where they wanted him........ then out, no turning back for Bates....gone. Just lets see how GFH keep handling things, and if they are the business tycoons we are lead to believe then good for us, let them pump some money in, threaten promotion, then get proper ragheads interested with open cheque book, back in the big time....................MOT
Last July you splashed about the same on Peltier and Pearce - then sold Snodgrass a few days later - expect either Byram or McCormack to be departing imminently
2020, sorry mate, did not mean to hit the dislike button on your posting. If one of the mods can reverse this, that would be appreciated. We should be able to reverse our own selections too.
