    ........
    Ken Bates
    Jan 2005 - July 1 2013

    Good Morning All,

It the end of an era folks. No more Ken. His eight year reign has come to an end. I would like to dedicate today to messages of support for our former Chairman.

We have (apparently) made a move to hijack Blackburn Rovers’ bid to sign Luke Murphy after tabling a rival offer for the highly-rated Crewe captain.

The 23-year-old had seemingly been destined for a switch to Ewood Park after Rovers saw a bid of around £1m accepted by Crewe on Friday, with the player giving initial indications that he was happy to join the Lancastrians ahead of Wolves, who put in an offer earlier last week. Could this be a smokescreen? Its like making a late offer of 30m to coax Naymar to come to Elland Road. Oh dear, we were too late. Never mind.....

Something tells me that today is the day that something will happen on the transfer market. I suppose we'll have to wait and see.

Morning all. According to late reports last night we have murphy doing medical today and discussing terms. Patel tweeting smiley faces what's that about? Press conference today? Maybe news of proper investment. As for bates though. Good riddance. Hope never to see his face again or have to listed to any of his idiotic ramblings. First time in a while, I've felt positive as a Leeds fan, don't ruin it for me gfh

    Morning Eire,

Isn't is strange that Patel and Haigh have not tweeted in the last 6 months.

To date they've only tweeted when positive stuff was happening so maybe it's a good sign they're aback even if it's only a smiley face. Of course it may be they've managed to pay their phone bills

Fook off Bates and I wish only the worst for you .....

Morning all and another strange quiet weekend with nothing happening. Wonder how this Murphy thing will play out and how can a low league player be valued at over £1m ffs, the worlds gone mad.

Patel and Haigh have come back out to play and I wonder if they will be making some announcements later. haigh is due at TA this morning and ER this afternoon. Signings?, a new investor?, a new chairman?

Maybe Haigh is going to cover all jobs himself. Could have thrown a few quid in the pot, become chairman and if he can afford a pair of boots, might be able to cover for Brown in midfield

"Jan 2005 - July 1 2013" - shurely shome mishtake, Elland. I am certain its been 80 years, not 8.

Expectations are high in the Vision household today........... not.

So well trained am I by the last 8 years that I expect the smiley faces and positive vibes to be something about the ER office coffee machine being repaired, and that Patel will tell us the £1m bid was only made because its a Middle East custom to have All Fools day on 1 July, not 1 April, and he "got us".

But....................... wuddent it be luvverly if there really was some good news today? Nothing ridiculous, just something basic like the very modest targets the manager has identified are all going to be funded. That would do me. I just want to see BM and his squad given a fair tilt at next season, no guarantees of promotion needed. Millwall relegated would be a bonus. Even all of that seems too much to hope for, but lets hope this really is the start of a new era.

Oh, and... thanks for saving us Ken, now why don't you .......... (self-censored because I don't write words like that)

We're not just paying for Murphy's ability though, we're paying for his potential too. Dwight Gayle is supposedly off to Palace for closer to £6m. That's just football these days, way too much money!

    Morning all <ok>

**** off Ken. Never show your mug at Elland Road again.

With all you spare time you can start following Chelsea again. If they still let you in Stanford Bridge that is.

Also read somewhere that if we sign Murphy, it'll be the first player we've signed for over a million since Richard Cresswell...in 2005 <yikes>

I heard that its turned into 6m plus 2.5m add ons so closer to 8.5m which is stupid money for him. A good player but he was in a team that got relegated from champ and going to the prem.

I've also just seen Bolton have signed Baptiste (would've been a great player to sign) could this be what we've been waiting for to get Mills or is that deal off now?

Think it was £4m up front with a further £2.5m in add ons. I've seen him play a few times, he really is a talent, but I think he would've been better off staying with Peterborough for another season yet. He won't play week in, week out at Palace and that's what he needs.

I wouldn't be surprised if we signed Mills on loan, but I've heard his wages are astronomical, so I do hope we don't sign him permanently!

    Morning All

God Elland that picture of Bates is an awful thing to see first thing after you wake up.

So glad the old tosser has gone and Harvey's stepped down.

Murphy is meant to be at Thorp Arch having a medical and sorting through the formalities

I've seen him a few times as well but he isn't worth more than 2-3m imo

I really find it hard to believe and it'll be one of those things that I'll believe it when I see it
