There was an Orange walk on Saturday morning up the main road at the bottom of my estate on Saturday, went to see some mates in Paisley and there had been more than one walk in the town in the morning. Were they really for Armed Forces day? Spastics. I heard on Sunday that this was old school Hibs casuals.
SEVCO linked allegedly with Boris Pandza, Bosnian CD. Big strong defender, a little clumsy and makes too much use of his arms, but he will get away with it with favourable scottish refs. He is coming from mechelen in Belgium, where his wage will be relatively high. Why is he coming to play in the third tier of Scottish football? Salary. SEVCO seem to be running up quite a wage bill, with management squad, outside bonuses on well over £1m pa. only 28,000 ST sold at approx £200 average. Goian paid full years wages up front and released, so saving on bonuses. Now that suggests desperation to me. Goian looked better than Pandza. Strange one that. SEVCO going to challenge for SC, but as a new club, they cannot qualify for Europe for 3 seasons after full membership of SFA. Charlotte emails showed that old rfc should never have been given European licence in 2011/12. Are the SFA about to repeat history and simply ignore or worse, so that SEVCO can access the desperately needed European cash?
I read Martin Williams' (Herald) take on the transfer activity of the two teams. Rangers "released" Goian - no mention of paying his outstanding wages. Celtic "lost out on a transfer fee" getting Rogne's wages off the books
"Hollie Croan, who started her shift at the Whiski bar and restaurant at 5pm, saw the aftermath of the fight, after police had arrived on the scene. But she said she noticed an unusual level of drunkards in the area until the early hours of yesterday". There's a phrase you don't read every day
Nicked from KDS, who nicked it from FF.... Penned by Mark Dingwall "Daily Record bunglers determined to commit suicide The dwindling coterie of Bluenoses inside the Record’s HQ are in despair as the news of Record editor Alan Rennie’s latest lunacy spreads through the building. Rangers complained about the Pierre van Hoojidonk story of 24th May which appeared on the banner headline CHEATS - he alleged Rangers cheated Celtic out of titles when he was in Scotland despite EBT’s not being in operation at the time. Almost unbelievably the heid bummers responded to the complaint from Rangers by claiming that the club playing at Ibrox now didn’t exist in 1996! The journos on the frontline can’t believe the stupidity of taking such a line and the beleaguered marketing department was reported to be “speechless” when the news filtered through. A letter from Rangers lawyers had arrived at Central Quay and the Press Complaints Commission put on notice - the Record then responded claiming that Rangers International plc didn’t come into being as an investment company last year and therefore the club didn’t exist in 1996." It appears hundom don't like this one bit
Surely there should be a phrase like a "Murder of Crows" or a "School of Fish" for the Ludgers? How about a "Thicket of Orangemen"?
"A Mong of Orangemen"? I saw the one at the bottom of my street - there were only two bands but there were 5 Orangemen in wheelchairs. I like to think it was their God punishing them
