Panathinaikois are said to be interested in Mohamadou Diarra, who is currently working on his rehab in France. He says he's only one month away from being fit. Source: http://www.gazzetta.gr/article/516669/me-thelei-o-panathinaikos-kai-skeftomai
Harry Redknapp is interested in signing Chris Baird, the Sunday People say. Source: http://www.westlondonsport.com/features-comment/redknapp-keen-on-baird-report Can understand why since QPR badly need someone at centre back. Would have thought Chris could still make it in the premiership and that West Brom were iinterested. There again he'd probably get a longer contract and comparable wages from 'Arry & Co.
I would keep Diarra if he would be happy to take a pay as you play deal, or pay if you are fit clause!!!
http://www.tribalfootball.com/artic...o-williams-getting-u20-world-cup-experience-3 this article refers to Gamiero and makes no mention of his release- he must still be with us?

Don't believe he's actually signed for anyone yet, although Perth Glory and Western Sydney have made offers. Seems that he's hanging on to see how the U20 World Cup in Turkey goes. And here he is meeting up with the opposition - please log in to view this image
The local rag is saying that Sparky (and others) are also showing interest in Chris - "STOKE City have shown an interest in former Fulham utility man Chris Baird. The Northern Irish international, who can play in defence or midfield, is a free agent after leaving Craven Cottage this summer following a six-year stint by the Thames. New Stoke boss Mark Hughes knows Baird well from his time in charge in SW6 and is understood to be keen to bring the 31-year-old to the Britannia. West Brom, who tried to sign Baird in January, Premier League new-boys Crystal Palace and Championship outfit Bolton have also made enquiries" Source: http://www.fulhamchronicle.co.uk/fulham-fc/2013/06/27/82029-33535783/ Please for him, as the greater the interest the better the pay-day.
Corey has now signed a deal with Syndney FC. "Young Socceroos striker Corey Gameiro will remain in the A-League next season after penning a two-year deal with Sydney FC." Source: http://www.sportsfan.com.au/young-socceroos-striker-joins-sydney-fc/tabid/91/newsid/108049/default.aspx
The Club have posted a 'Thank You' by way of confirming the players officially out of contract as of today and therefore released. A nice way of doing it and I suppose they had to get a sensible balance in the article. However I find myself somewhat disappointed, especially in the coverage given to Digger. Here is a link to it: http://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2013/july/01/thank-you Anyway, very best wishes to all of them. You could sign them all and have the makings of a pretty good team. PS Diarra isn't included ???
How come? I thought it was a fitting tribute, certainly considering he's been injured for, what, 18 months? He was never going to get a statue outside the ground
I was pleasantly surprised by the Davies comments, expecting far worse after Cottager's post. They might have mentioned that he was player of the season in the Great Escape season, but other than that I thought it was a fitting (if unavoidably brief) farewell to a great servant of the club. It's just a shame that his time with us dribbled to an end due to recurring injuries. Diarra's absence is interesting. Maybe the club intends to offer him another contract once (if) he gets fit again.
It was the brevity I was getting at. I'd accept though, that the focus on his Euro goals means he leaves with the fondest memories.
Evening gents, I spotted the list of players you were releasing and i was surprised to see Petric on there, he's looked half decent the odd time I've seen him play and historically he's scored at a decent rate. Is there any particular reason he's off, I wouldn't mind him coming to us(Hull).
On a hefty wage, considerably old and as tosh said, has a history of injury problems. If another team could get him fit for the season and offer him more game time than we could (Berbatov, Ruiz, Rodallega all ahead of him) then you could probably get 10-12 goals out of him.
Well you lads were certainly right about him. I ended up out with him on a few occasions, what a thick piss head he turned out to be.
Apparently Cardiff are being linked with a bid so you'll have some competition... Berbatov and Cardozo up top for them next season? Dreamland.
