I was about to post this - I like Holt however it is the Daily Star - does the story have a semblance of truth??

 

It says fighting it out with Crystal Palace and yet he wants to move north and his family are in Cumbria. Are these reporters thick?

 

True. Maybe Slumberland will take Holt. Not that far away from Cumbria is it ?

Apparently we are after Grant Holt, wouldn't be a bad signing, but his age worries me.

 

I'll be annoyed if we get Holt and Naaaaaaarch get Hooper.

They are surely on our hotlist of clubs to target in a fight to stay in the Prem League, so giving them that kind of advantage would seem suicidal.

Also Holt doesn't fit into the category of player it is rumoured we are interested in.

 

I don't blame them, he's not that good and he's unproven.

It'd be a shame that we'd pick up Norwich's scraps if they get Hooper. They'll probably bid for Charlie Austin just to piss us off.

Anyone else like to see Altidore as the other striker? Although, not sure Austin and Altidore would work as they are both big physical strikers, I much prefer the little and large combination..

 

I would be happy with most of them except Ireland don't rate him.

 

Cardiff have apparently signed Tom Ince for in excess of £8 million and are close to getting Wanyama. Just hope we can some similar quality players in.

I wouldn't expect us to spend £20m on two players, maybe 4 or 5.

 

I think they've had an offer accepted. Doesn't mean he's going there. Time yet for Liverpool to counter offer.
