These players have all been rumoured to leave the club this summer. Some of which I would like to see go, and some I think we need to keep. Feel free to add any more you've heard rumours about. Im happy for all to go excluding AJ(depends, this will change if we get DJ or Osvaldo), Salcido or Dempsey. I like Salcido, as we saw in the WC he has a whip of a shot and this has caused problems for teams on occasions, also he's pretty good at overlaping, supporting Duff if needed and whips in a few good balls. ure, he's prone in defence sometimes, he's a bit of a ball watcher and gets dragged in but again I feel this dosen't happen too much. Obvs reasons Dempsey, he's a key part of our team and to lose him would be losing a huge part of our team, with 13 goals he's always there, assists are high and can always fill in wherever, when needed. Saying that if he does go, he's sure to fetch a fairly good price so the only positive I can think is if he does leave, we can bring in a decent replacement, if not better from the money we'll recieve from him. All of the list you put up should go apart from dempsey. AJ's departure should be subject to us finding a younger alternative who poses a greater goal threat. The overwhelming consensus amongst this forum is that gera and pantsill will also leave, although the large majority of us would rather they stayed, particularly in the case of the former.

I agree with you flywhitehigh, i don't think Salcido can go mainly because he is our only LB apart from Briggs but I think we should keep AJ even if Osvaldo or DJ come because he's a great impact player coming on as a sub and we really saw that at Wigan scoring only seconds after he came on. And of course Dempsey needs to stay, it's just a question of whether we can keep him hopefully with us being in Europe he'll want to stay.
They can't. He was basically hyped up after a good World Cup performance but clearly couldn't cut it in the Premiership. Give Briggs some more game time and he could step up to the game to 1st team eventually i'm sure.
Salcido was very good in European football, so maybe he could be useful in our Europa league adventure. Plus back-up to Briggs is needed and money seems to be tight with whole budget going on Osvaldo.
17million is a lot to spend on this Osvaldo chap. Bearing in mind the most we have even spent on one player was £11million on AJ, I just can't see it happening.
Salcido is awful. Ovelaps...the bloke was scared to cross the halfway line after being skinned time and time again in the first half of the season. Its only because we didn't have a fit enough LB he kept his place. I was even crying out for Baird to switch to LB and bring on Pantsil...but we know Hughes had lost the faith with him so that was never going to happen. Don't get me started on his postional play. always found wanting in my view. Get rid bigtime. Bring in Warnock from Villa. Agree with the above but he will never get rid of Halliche. The bloke has played in what 3 games? We are judging him on what basis? Peterbourogh perfomance and giving away that pen?
Halliche He is also only 24 years old, where as Hangeland is 29 and Hughes 31, which could perhaps be of importance....
I know there are those who will disagree,but for me AJ out I think the captain will now have to agree ,that my jumping the gun re: AJ scoring record is now correct (worse than Steve Marlet) My rational is this,he was bought as a goalscoring c/f that has not materialised. He is 30,with 13 mths left on his contract,then ? free agent Reputed that one club has offered 4mil,will we get this much worth in the coming season An injury problem, thats why he did not sign for BOLTON, WIGAN prior to us at 2mil less than what we paid. Reputed to be Fulhams highest paid player. No ship him out if 4m, plus some more money Mo throws in we can get a goalscoring playmaker.
Most people agree that losing Demps would be bad. I remain in the pro-AJ minority - You got it right about running the channels, which he needs to do when Bobby Zamora is on the pitch. But if we get £4m plus, then it makes sense. depending on who MH can bring in. As to Salcido, he may be good internationally, and might work in the Europa League, but has just not worked in the Prem and has been caught out too many times. My man Zolly will go, of course - a real pity that he doesn't fit. As will JP, who I will miss. Kamara and EddieJ are out of my mind already, having seen them fail dismally.
I really don't want AJ to leave, his recent form has made me realise how important he is to the team, and replacing him would be costly. Salcido is one I'm not sure of, on his day he has been great (Wigan) but yes on others has been woeful, but who can we get to replace him? Would Konch come back? and was he really a much better option than Salcido?
This season maybe, but Defoe has competition, whereas AJ barely has any. Zamora was injured and Gudjohnsen only came in January.
Goal scoring that' s all. We cry for a 15 goals a year man, who has them at the same level club as us? We are looking at 10 at best with others adding along the way. Our MF players contribute or have done, Gera, Davies, Duff, Dempsey (MF come Striker come Winger) all got goals. We should expect more. I feel we might be a little harsh on Andrew. He's not scored that many from open play in the prem what did you expect looking at his history? Others at his value may add more goals but you have to look at Hodgson who paid that money and ultimately cost us. Moyes couldn't beleive his luck for 10m you can bet on that. At 4m I agree with you we should take it because if anything we need a freshen up. However i don't expect MAF to throw 10m out of his kitty again. I hope I'm proven wrong.
