The PiL , Dinosaur Jr , Foals and Alabama Shakes !!! for me , im not into these festival things (i especially detest the right on sad arses on telly in their ****ing wellies like "Dad" ), i prefer my gigs a bit more intimate than these events .
Seasick Steve was class last night Live on BB2 and it was great to see the legend that is John Paul Jones playing bass and guitars with him. For those who dont know who JPJ is.... HE IS part of Led Zeppelin. On tour again later in the year btw. The Arctic Monkeys were very good as well later on. Will be interesting to see how good the Rolling Stones are tonight. Seen them many times in there prime but maybe age has finally got to them. Twt as always.
I've never got into Primal Scream, despite Manny being their bassist for a while. Liked Tame Impala & Django Django from last nights highlights.
The festival has just come of age - Sympathy For The Devil warming in and the festival got the woo woos; what's not to like. Enjoy.
Arctic Monkeys were good last night, but the Rolling Stones have smashed them completely. Quality. I might record Mumford & Sons to see how badly they fail.
A nice change - from the Stones to Public Enemy... Also, Laverne for me as well. Nowt wrong with Whiley though.
I know right, she's a fine package. Though I was just watching Daughter. I tell you what, the lead singer is right up my street. Elena Tonra is her name. She looks all vulnerable up there...
