yeh TBH non of us have a clue what Enrique is thinking, just when we thought he might stay we got a report saying he had no interest in playing for us next year. Still, if he stays thats great and if not i'm sure we'll get a decent replacement

 

I think if he goes we still have Ferguson who is going to be a better player anyway. We can use the money to but a decent left and right back.

if he goes we havnt got a replacement and if he wants to go fine aslong as we get decent cover in for him and get a decent fee. we payed 6mil for him a few years ago hes worth about 3 times that much now so ill be very annoyed if he left for under 15mil. i wouldnt listen to a word phil thompson says probably just creating gossip to keep his name in the press! i hope jose stays though! he has always said that when were safe hed talk about a new deal

 

Tino - It has been widely reported there is no contract for Barton to sign now. He was offered one earlier in the season on vastly reduced wages which he rejected. Unfortunately this was around the time of Carroll leaving. Barton said his rejection was two fold - 1. It was a year less than he wanted 2. It was on vastly reduced wages (he was willing to accept a pay cut) He also admitted to being concerned about the clubs amibition following the sale of Carroll, and said he had ambitions of playing in Europe and for England. These were his own words at the talk in I was at.

 

No-one will pay that much for someone in the last year of their contract
