Dave I know its all a storm in a Tea Cup and it will soon blow over as all these spats usually do and I also hope that we can just get on and talk about the football.
I think this is where the whole thing falls down. In no way do I believe for a moment that you actually think Guru was genuinely debating. His "genuine" was extremely limited, which was precisely the problem.
According to you though Rob, you can only guess at what Guru's real intentions were but this is a pretty dead subject now so best we all move on!
yeah, it wasn't a genuine debate. he knew it, i knew it, you knew it, we all knew it! it was pointless and infantile but i don't think it warranted a lifetime ban. and that's where i'll leave it
Dave I didn't realise that you could get an internet connection from Glastonbury! I can just imagine you being a Roady for the Quo!
See Supers post below... Guru was clearly well aware what he was doing, but agreed we should move on. Part of the reason it is so disappointing that Guru went and threw his toys out of the pram on your board, resulting in an Ipswich fan coming over here and resurrecting this whole farce
No real harm done though is there Rob! Feck me I think there are more important things in life to get worked up about such as when are we going to sign some decent players!
Dave, don't ban people. People are not stupid (apart from JWM, who is utterly stupid), they do realise when someone is being provocative or talking ****. Just leave people to argue and react. It's up to them, not you. Its the same with the article closures, they don't need closing. Just let them fizzle out.
Guru got on my nerves constantly. He just wouldn't stop repeating the same thing over and over again. A complete wum, and a ban was sure to come. But, you know what, thinking about it, I agree with carrabuh on this. Put him on ignore if you need to, but a permanent ban? Maybe not. Was he annoying? Oh yes! Abusive, racist or any of those things? No.
I think of forums as someone else's home and we're all guests, as guests we must be respectful and polite and abide by their house rules. I think Dave was right what he did, guru had plenty of chances to change his attitude.
