Dont see it happening myself. I think that Bale will give Tottenham one last chance of getting into the CL.

As a FAT as well. Great signing for Zenit btw.

They have a reported budget of £25m which will have a big hole in it if this ^^^^^ happens.

Yes they did after the Charlton home game.

Now a confirmed signing by DQPR.

Big steps for a lad who played for Stansted 2 years ago....
I do remember him tearing us apart in one game though

    £7.5 mill - Cornelius
    £8.5 mill - Ince
    £12 mill - Wanyama

£28 million already, so that £25 million budget is rubbish.

You can't take quoted budgets seriously. No manager is told "right, you have £20m, then that's it." Budgets are set for the whole season, if there's scope to buy a player they'll go for it. There are probably targets Bruce wants that AA has said no to because they're too expensive.

Our transfer budget of £15m is bollocks, with the players we're reputedly bringing in, I highly doubt we'll stay under that figure.

It seems the fee agreed is £3m.

It's quite a lot for a player who's only ever played 29 league football matches.

Tottenham have agreed a fee of £17m for Brazilian midfielder Paulinho.

Seems a good player based on the Confeds.

Good deal, Brazilian clubs are notorious for charging excessive transfer fees.

Not if he turns out to be the next Ian Wright!

Was he the player he missed about ten glorious scoring chances when we played at London Road in January? If it was I remember thinking he was ****.

Your figures are rubbish. The £25m was the reported transfer budget and the so called fees you quote just media estimates. So far only the top one is anywhere near Cardiff City. Ince and Wanyama appear a long way off signing.

We should have gone for him and we could still do / hi-jack the deal. We have options that the Posh may want to take and thus reducing that fee.

Like I said on another thread the other day, it amazes me how much lower league players are going for now. Wasn't Craig Gordon some kind of record for a goalkeeper when he went to Sunderland for £9m? Now we can't get Schmeichel from a Championship club in the final year of his contract because we won't pay more than £4m. It's incredible.

Gordon wasn't a lower league player.

    3 Words: Financial. Fair. Play.

It has scared the ****e out of clubs who now can't risk spending the money when they would've before.

That's my point. He was some kind of goalkeeper transfer record I think at £9m and that was only a few years ago, yet now a Championship club won't accept half that for a player who can leave for nothing in 6 months.
