18 months, cost us £4m and left for nothing. Great business. That is why you dont buy old players.

Still, at least its money off the wage bill.

He was a lazy so and so. But his goals in that first season were a big part in keeping us up. Will never forget his late winner against Stoke.

His goal against Stoke, was one of the most wonderful/memorable of all my recent QPR memories (winning the championship...was too nervy and protracted by legal wranglings to have the same impact)
So thank you Cisse for that...

Good luck

Yeh, his goals paid a big, big part in keeping us up that season. Good luck Djibril!

I was there for the Stoke goal, still grateful for that. On his day he was lethal, maybe the best striker of the ball at the club since Sir Les.
But to many red mists, perfume range, nightlife and general laziness means this is a good thing imo. Off the wage bill with the wasters, keep the heads rolling Tony <applause>

I've heard a very interesting story about Cisse and reasons for him being loaned out when he was. I really can't put it on here 'cos I don't want libel lawyers knocking at my door but I've no reason to disbelieve it.

Guess the truth will come out in someone's autobiography in the future.

Very good player and sad to see him go. Off the pitch he was alright when i spoke to him in French .. he actually said he loved the QPR thing at home ... the little mouse that roars he said. The ****ters soon turned on him however because QPR are still too green for the culture change. The game has changed for the worse/better? maybe we aren't ready yet.

On the pitch Cisse is a forward and he is deadly if given a chance. I thought he good for us however remember he had a relationship split and of course yes he has a big ego.

Back in 82 I could throw a pigskin 2 miles

I was wondering if you were going to tell everyone that. You could probably say it was similar to the alleged Camp rumours.

Cisse is like Remy, a finisher but offers nothing else. The sort of type a club like Arsenal or spurs need but not us as we dont dominate games enough to allow for a player not working hard.

Players like this need the service.

In the end Cisse didn't get the service. He wanted quick balls and didn't get them, he was caught offside too often and in the end the likes of Adel stopped trying to put the ball through, settling for the long range shot rather than a pass to someone who would probably be offside. There was obviously tension between the two. Shame.

I would like to tell everyone mate but better not to put it in writing I reckon.
After I told you I checked again and it was said to me as 100% genuine. I'm up for believing it but it could just be rumours going about the football world.

Beth- ask Flyer when you see him ;)

Such a tragedy all round. He was AMAZING for us in his first half-season. I personally thought that we may of found someone that would give us the goals to take us to the next level. And then, something happened, I don’t know what, but overnight he suddenly wasn’t the same person. Maybe his divorce had something to do with it, I don’t know. It was like this talented, athletic and energetic individual was replaced with a listless, disinterested and lazy imposter. Like something out of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. All very weird and ultimately quite sad for both him and us.

Anyway, I for one wish him the best of luck and I hope that he find his mojo again elsewhere.

What were the alleged Camp rumour, or is that out of bounds too? Anything along the Frank Worthington and Alberto Tarantino's wife lines?
