Life Of Brian. Greatest comedy film ever closely followed by Spinal Tap.

Yeah, everyone in that film deserves an Oscar.
They wrote and played their own songs. They were Americans with better English accents than any other American actors I have ever come accross. Although Dick Van Dyke runs them close.

The great thing about Tap is that they are so close to the truth it's genius.

Other great films, That'll Be The Day and it's sequel, Stardust. Both fantastic films.

One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest is a good film too.

Also, A Matter Of Life And Death is a very emotive film that stands the test of time and holds it's own in acting, storyline and cinematography. A giant amoung films.

A Bittersweet Life - a Korean Gangster movie, utterley brilliant. Just as the Departed was a piss poor re-make of the Japanese film Infernal Affairs, and films like the Ring and the Grudge get the USA makeover and are never as good, this film will be remade by one of the big studios at some point - make sure you see the original!!

The Shawshank Redemption is such a good film, a real must see. Other great films: Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, Schindler's List, The Matrix, Memento (real clever film), Pyscho, A Clockwork Orange, its really old but the Maltese Falcon is pretty good, V for Vendetta is fantastic, Shutter Island is surprisingly very good too. Can't think of any others right now.
