Can't read through 202 pages to check if anyone has posted Canary news -- especially since there isn't any yet. Ricky Van Wolfswinkel is it so far, plus Javier Garrido on a permanent deal. Congratulations Piskie. Bet you now can't remember how life was before. Oops, O/T, sorry.
Watching Brazil vs Uruguay. Sideshow Bob (Luiz) is an absolute liability. Gave away a penalty. Forlan was accurate but it wasn't powerful enough to beat Cesar who made a good save. Neymar is getting totally sussed by the Uruguay defense. Every time he cuts inside from the left, the defenders charge at him and win it.
Brazil rather lucky 2-1 winners. Forget Paulinho, that guy Luis Gustavo was quality. Cavani and Marcelo were also excellent. -edit- and Neymar is a diving cheat who will fit right in at Barca
Ain't had no time to follow the confed cup, but according to most reports, it's actually been a decent tournament, and I am already looking forward to a Brazil-Spain final.
Same here. Some of the Brazilian players are being hyped up way too much. No way Brazil will win anything with this team as there are many more teams better than them. Spain and Germany are way ahead of them.
I would agree with you, but Scolari has picked a very balanced team. Think about how rubbish United look on paper most seasons, and yet Ferguson gets them to win. What really impressed me last night was the central midfield pairing of Paulinho and Luis Gustavo. They both look like exceptional players. Then they've got Marcelo and Dani Alves bombing up the sides. Oscar will only be better next year in the AM role, and Neymar will probably learn a thing or two in Spain. Plus on home turf, I think they have a chance. Having said that, I hope Spain destroy them too.
Home advantage always seems to make a massive difference to Brazil, more than any of the other big teams
£17million in football terms is a bargain. City paid 30 for a player who isnt as good so in that respect Spurs have got quite the deal.
