The timing of his statement is significant. No doubt about it - also there's no commitment to signing a new deal, which I doubt he will until there is a better indication of Leicester's likelihood of promotion next season. There's no doubt in my mind given the family ties and his dad's statement that if a fee was agreed and he was coming in as no1 he'd be pulling on a Tigers jersey at Stamford Bridge on the opening day. they might publicly say they want 3 million but they've also publicly stated they are really keen to get rid and have advertised the fact they've had no offers. an initial bid of 1.5 might get him but 2 would get him comfortably.
