Well............if you count 3 one-on-one saves by Almunia in the second half when Palarse were clean through as good defensive work, then I suppose you are right. I thought we had to work damn hard and have a bit of luck to get through to extra time.
I suppose Eustace might want to play games rather than be a bit part player in his position but it would be a shame to lose him in terms of experience and helping the new players settle.
According to this report, Angella has signed a 5 year contract with us. http://translate.google.co.nz/trans...d-angella-a-londra-settimana-prossima-460925?
http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/10513800.Eustace_to_seek_more_game_time_elsewhere/ Cannot say I am surprised. Think that the back injury means he may find playing often a problem. Still he has been good for the club in his time with us and I wish him well.
It doesn't look as if this one is to strength the team just yet, but the names mentioned further on have all been mentioned in the rumours threads. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/10513785.Watford_close_to_announcing_new_signing/
Wonder if this is him? 28 Jun 2013 15:53:28 Watford to make the surprise signing of Sam Byram from Leeds United. Leeds cash strapped, player already signed (source Watford Observer and insiders in Watford Football Club)
Seems very unlikely to me as he is their most valued player... Be like us selling Hoban or Bond to Charlton.
Reading the posts from Leeds fans, they are expecting him to go. They think he is the only player that would raise some cash and it is a case of sell before you can buy anyone. He fits the Pozzo model of a player who is young with a lot of promise, and paying out a reasonable fee would not be out of the question. They paid €4m for Vydra who was only a promising youngster.
Udinese have announced that they have signed Javi Acuna and will loan him to Watford. http://www.udinese.it/portal/IT/handle/?hil&page=redazione_approfondimenti&vid=921

Looks very promising - shall be interesting to see what kind of involvement he has with the senior team as he is still relatively young. Reading the forum you posted the Reading fans seem a little gutted he's gone. They're loss, our gain!
