HIP HIP HOORAY , now I hope Kimi will get the nod for the seat and then we can see how good Vettel really is.

Webber for me has never got the best out of the Newey/Marshall speed machines apart from in 2010 and I cant forgive Webber for finishing behind Button in a RB7 car which was the most dominant of the Newey machines.

Good solid driver, never quite in the top tier of drivers, but on his day a very fast driver. Nice to see that he ended up in a car which could give him some wins that his early career deserved. Now a spot at RBR opens up! I fancy Vergne to take it over Kimi, but would rather Kimi takes it

Josh Bailey: Like to see Di Resta at Red Bull, he's got great talent, just needs a top team to give him the support to win his first race.

If we can get enough driver ideas this is perfect for a good old poll :D

I think it's between Kimi and Ricciardo. I hope Ricciardo gets the seat and Kimi stays at Lotus or goes back to Ferrari.

Has anybody broke the news to Miggins? He's going to be distraught!!! :p

    I'll actually miss Webber. It's a shame he's leaving, but I don't blame him.

Must be a misprint, his name is actually '2008 world champion Lewis Hamilton'

lol. funnily enough Benson did a fairly good article on tyre gate that didn't mention him once. tbh I thought it was too good to be Benson and I suspect he just copy/pasted someone elses work and forgot to put Lewis' name in anywhere.

Its a shame really the rest of it was good. but he opened it with that which was not needed. I don't recall any history between Hamilton and Webber

It's probably about time. If we're honest he hasn't been anywhere near Vettel consistently since 2010, and he can take the moment to call time on a very respectable career. I've always felt he was overrated (even in 2010), but that doesn't change the fact that he fought from the bottom and deserved all the success he got. He'll do well in LMP1 <ok>

It creates a potentially exciting situation for next season. A seat in the best team of this era is open. I only hope they don't choose to give Vettel a lapdog.

It seems like I'm just getting constant reminders to stop watching F1 altogether. The pinnacle of motorsport IMO couldn't be devalued any further with it's ever-degrading views on "exciting racing" and all the BS that goes on around it, and now the driver I ultimately supported from when I started watching is leaving. Heck, I'm not even making it halfway through races nowadays without switching off and doing something else. Reminds me of Brooks, when he leaves the prison in Shawshank redemption; we're entering a new era, and I don't think I like the look of it.

Sad to see him go but it was inevitable after Malaysia. Hope he has success with Porsche.

Sad really but it probably reflects the changing of the old guard. Missed the golden goose in 2010 and its those fine margins that define your career.
