So Higuain isn't off to Arsenal then? Interesting offer, Two brilliant players and a large stack of cash? They'd be mad not to accept it.

think it's bollocks personally. They may have offered players but you very rarely see such a big swap. Spurs would have to cope with higher wages and each player would have to agree terms... It's just really complicated.

I think the papers are bored, all they know is Madrid want Bale (they haven't kept it secret) and I think they're thinking up every way of it happening.

I've seen Di Maria linked with the swap deal as well. Man City target Isco has joined Real Madrid, which might be the reason for all these swap rumours?

Sticking with Spurs, it looks like Franco Baldini (their technical director) is going to hold talks in Spain with David Villa. If Spurs get him, that's a fantastic signing.

Andrei Arshavin has rejoined Zenit St Petersburg from Arsenal.

Barcelona are holding last-ditch talks with Thiago after a deal was agreed to take him to Man Utd.

I'm guessing flower power is on his way out of Madrid then? There's no way a team could have 2 left wingers of Bale and flowers quality.

I think Daniel Levy will show Real Madrid just how hard a deal maker he is over Bale. I just dont see Bale going to Madrid this summer. In saying that i dont expect Levy to sell to any other PL club either. Barcelona next summer would be a better idea for Bale IF Spurs miss out on the CL yet again.

Cardiff have signed Andreas Cornelius from FCK Copenhagen.
    Good signing I'm afraid :emoticon-0149-no:
One of the more promising Scandinavian strikers atm.

£8 million is a decent wedge too. It's a pretty big statement of intent.

Who's better, Helenius or Cornelius? Is Jo Inge Berget still kicking around? He always impressed me. As did Jesper Julesgard, the LB. I know they aren't all Swedish, but I've not being paying attention to the Scandanavian Leagues recently (used to watch loads of Tippeligen games)

    Their owners are mega wealthy.

£8m for Cornelius, £8m for Ince, £12m for Wanyama and I doubt they're finished there.

    Serious coin.

Didn't Cardiff's owners say that he has a £25m budget? That's taking most of it up

They need to be careful though, a Club only needs to look at the example set by the Drama's when it comes to spending silly to survive.

Hopefully he goes to Cardiff. I spent almost two years trolling the Mackems on this site about how **** Cattermole is, so I don't think I could face seeing him turn out in a City shirt :emoticon-0119-puke:

What's €60m? About £50m? If I were Levy I'd snap their hands off for that deal. Get another forward in and a decent central-midfielder and they'd do bloody well next season. Probably all bullshit though sadly.
