    Surely he'll get bored soon?

How much more piss-taking can he enjoy off the back of the Geordie public?

I realise that Sports Direct has been booming since he's been here... I'm guessing he's here as long as the scumbags keep buying those 'stylish' tracksuits.

The reason why Sports Direst is booming is little to do with Newcastle (see last paragraph) but Sports Direct have been doing acquisions constantly all over Euripe and they are expanding rather rapidly. Yes, I have even some of their shares in my ISA and they're doing well.

They have just bought out an outdoor clothing company which used to be down the road here. Sports Direct waited until their target was in administration, as they normally do, which was last Friday and then come in with an offer and take them over for a knock down price.

At least one thing has to be said is that doing that means that about 300 jobs are saved from the old company which would have gone to the wall. Well, some will perhaps still go but I expect that the staff here in the shops will be bemused when they're asked to sell footie tops along with their outdoor gear.

A shame that the initial firm went under as they started to actually sell half decent stuff again. But now I expect that their stock's quality will really decline and I can't see the local mountain rescue bods going out up Yr Wyddfa in a Lonsdale top and carrying their gear in a Sports Direct carrier bag for life.

Anyway, whilst we're on this subject I asked if anyone knows who is the actual owner of St James Holdings Limited. Does anyone have any ideas?

not the best accuracy but there will be some truth in this

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_James_Holdings
St James Holdings Limited is a company set up by tycoon Mike Ashley, specifically to acquire shares of Newcastle United Football Club. The company name is a reference to St James' Park, the stadium of Newcastle United.

Thanks for that, but I was wondering who actually owns the shares in that holding company. I wonder if it is MASH or another legal entity.

I see that Ashley sold a pile (roughly 25 million) of Sports Direct shares in February for £4 each. I wonder what he wanted that for. Anyway, he's made an undertaking not to sell any more until next February at the earliest as it tends to upset the investors. But this may not be relevant to the point if SD don't own any St James Holding shares.

So we're back at the point that some would like Newcast United to be bought from St James Holdings and I am still trying to trace this blasted food chain and none of these companies are Listed which makes things a mite tricky.

Have you heard of an organisation called HMRC?
