Aidan needs to wield the axe now, getting silly. Listen Rishi family dont pay the bills, you understand. Listen
8.40 Bath Alhaarth Beauty 11/4 represents the bang in form Ismail Mohammed stable and I was really impressed with her commanding victory off a mark of 63 when making all at what looked a very quick pace to score by nearly 2L in a first time hood under the excellent Thomas Brown. Previously looking an awkward ride with a peculiar head carriage, the hood seemed to work wonders and there definitely looks to be more to come. In this Classified 0-70 contest, Alhaarth Beauty comes off 1lb worse with the exposed looking Hot Secret but it better weighted than 3 of his 5 rivals on official terms and this looks an extremely winnable race. I expect Tom Brown to pop her out an attempt to make all from box 1 and I think she's got a superb chance of winning this.
No I don't, but rarely have you ever seen a jockey make such a balls up and get things so spectacularly wrong.
Watch Shane Kelly on Ducal the other night or Spencer on Educate. Two recent examples of shocking decision making
Spencer on Educate? I was on as well but I don't know if it was bad decisions or whether the style of ride the horse needs introduced that possibility into the mix. The stable were adamant they get Spencer for the hold up ride and obviously if you ask for that type of ride you realise you may get traffic problems. I might be wrong but it's the way i saw it at the time. Either be philosophical about it or cry into my Shreddies about what might have been.
Unbelievable isn't it? Not sure what's going on with all the injuries either. Never heard anything like it.
It was the decision to switch from his middle (low side draw) to the high side numbers that really bothered me, especially considering the side he was drawn on was the side of the track that was being favoured that day. He also somehow got himself all the way to the nearside rail which was never going to open up for him with a completely clear run. Granted, the horse needs cover but he could have sat centrally behind the big group as opposed to going on the rail. There will be more days to come with Educate though. Owner apparently wants him to go into a Group 3 and although I don't think he'll have an issue winning one I'd much prefer to see him run in the John Smiths Cup at York over 10f next month first.
You're not thinking PED's are you Dan? Because I read this book and now all I ever think when a sportsman does something they aren't usually capable of is PED.
Jesus Federer out Nadal out Tsonga out Murray's side of the draw has no one left. I'm feeling rather smug about my 9/2 each way now.
Alhaarth Beauty seemed to hate getting crowded. I think she's a bit of a headcase and just got frightened by the prospect of horses having her closed in on the fence. Think she'll be back on a straight course from now on.
