Hi guys never posted here before but I felt it necessary to share the pain I just felt. I'm in my second season with spurs So its the second last game of the season, I'm tied on points with Man United at the top. A win is needed and I'm at home to Norwich, should be pretty easy considering out of the 5 times we've met I've won 4 times and drew the other. Well no. First of all Danny Rose gets his second yellow after only 30 minutes forcing me to shuffle my team about. Then just after half time Loris gets an injury, as this NEVER happens to me in all my time of playing football manager I have no sub goalie forcing me to play Sandro in goal. At that point I was pretty disheartened but then I get another injury, this time to Ayew forcing me once again to shuffle my team about Then just as I come to terms with my draw Norwich have their first shot on target (a **** one at that) and score past the non-keeper sandro. A shot any natural keeper would have saved. Of course Man United won meaning I go into the last game relying on, wait for it.. 7th Southampton to beat man United, otherwise I have to settle for second best, and having been top for a while that is pretty hard to swallow Well there it is. Never have I been screwed over by FM such as I have tonight.
Has anyone played the iPhone version of Football Manager? Looks a bit pricey but I'm not sure whether to give it a go or not.
Very limited when you are used to the full version. Does anyone else have a Mac they play Fm on? I can't work out how you can take screenshots.
God I miss this game. Gotta get a new laptop or do some serious repairs on my old one. Then I can finally get around to completing that FM12 pentagon challenge!
No Cork or Lallana in my save Lallana got a World Cup runners up medal but didn't get a single cap...
In mine, he's injury plagued and I sold him to Burnley for £5m. Cork has 10 caps, but he didn't make that squad. JWP broke his leg and he's out for 10 months, and Forren is out for 8 months with damaged cruciate ligaments. Basically, my season's went to ****.
Well I've only played one game on FM13, right from the start, and not a single cheat anywhere along the way. You wouldn't recognise most of my players as they are generated young wonder-kids I've nurtured, but I still have Cork and Ward-Prowse in the team. We've improved every year, regularly qualifying for EURO cup and then the CL. I won the FA cup and League Cup twice in a row, and the CL. But either Man C or Man U kept being ****-hot and the EPL alluded me. Last night, in the year 2021, I finally won the EPL with a record 97 points, with Man U hot on my heels with 94. I also retained the CL and won the FA cup for a third consecutive season. It's taken me a while so this might not be very impressive compared to the antics of the students among us, but it's got a lot harder since my student days and to be honest I am chuffed to bits. As I say, I have only played one save game and I haven't cheated once so that's meant some hard knocks along the way. I needed to tell some people who might understand ...
As long as you've not cheated, then it's all good pretty sure you could go back about 50 pages and find the story of a certain Hoadie Boi and how he became amazing through cheating
I've done my fair share of FM cheating over the years. Using the data editor to put myself in the game was a favourite, although as I would now need to change my DOB to make it realistic that seems pretty depressing. Ever since FM09, I've been determined to make Saints great fair and square and if I'm honest I've had to give up on all the previous versions (I missed 10 but I can definitely remember giving up on 11 and 12 too). I've scoured the internet and studied guides like a second job. And now I've done it. Funny thing is the missus thinks I'm going to stop now ... people get such funny ideas sometimes.
Really struggling with tactic familiarity... anyone got tips on how to get it up quickly in pre-season?
