TRUE and all over the media now. Mike Ashley is prepared to sell Newcastle Utd if the right offer is made to him. The club is available at a bargain price of £267m.!! ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ one link www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/gossip/ it's the top story in Other Gossip near the bottom.
I am yes, apologies Febbos. Although if I ever have to eat Lutefisk again I might literally gag until I turn inside out.
Good man, I think it's more an American-Swedish dish. It's basically salted fish made with Lye. And it's bloody awful.
Didn't Adam Richman have to eat it once in an episode of Man v Food?? (Can't wait for PLT to arrive and give everyone a bollocking for straying off-topic! It makes his day! Sad ****er)
That's what I said back in January when we got Meyler. I've not been overly impressed with his performances in the Championship, so God knows what he'll be like in the Prem
He is prone to misplacing passes but he was certainly a huge part of our promotion. 5 goals +(I think) from CM and about 5 pens he earned. He's not the prettiest to watch but definitely effective.
From what ash said on sportstalk tonight I think he knows something about cattermole coming and definatley bardsley.
I said a while back we'd need a new cm pairing when we go up because Meyler and Quinn will get battered and would get outplayed and I still believe that. Donnytiger said I didn't know anything about football....we'll see
£5million bid for Mboyo with Swansea in the running also. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...r-Ilomboe-Mboyo-face-competition-Swansea.html
Almost done then http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/hull-city-transfers-allan-mcgregor-2001807?
It appears to be general knowledge up in the north east about Cattermole for sure. We dont need Bardsley at all. Looks like it.
I've said before on here that what we need to do is improve our squad. The starting point is not who is at the top of the tree, but who is at the bottom. If we bring in a new striker then the question is who falls out of the squad. If we bring in, say, Austin then Fryatt drops to number 2 and McLean falls out of the squad. If we bring in Elmander the same thing happens but Fryatt stays as 1 and Elmander takes the number 2 spot. McLean out again. Either way you have improved your squad and survival chances. Seems to me that Steve Bruce is doing exactly that. He is gradually turning the weakest areas of the squad into the strongest areas. Hence two new strikers in our targets. Lets be honest, if we assume that Chester was the best player in our 25 man squad at the end of last season, but is the worst player in the 25 man squad by the start of next season, we'll all be happy. Last year our problem really was squad strength. When Aluko was injured we really wobbled. We need to ensure that our second string, in every position, is more than good enough to make the step up to premiership level. Can you imagine playing Man U with the Jak in goal? This is where the loan system will come in. Filling those areas where we have insufficient Premiership standard cover. I hope!
