Cheers STH .... the names always sound so much nicer in another language .. especially Irish .. thanks again !
Bob - I was around on here before you'd even heard of it. The name "Champ" to me signifies someone who has done something to warrant that title. For example, Muhammed Ali was a champion because he won most of his fights at the top level, I could go on. Bob however, is not a name one would attribute to a champ, especially as most days I drop by you tip up losing favourites. Anyway - that's just my opinion.
Drever / Namned ... life really is too short for these inane jibes at Boston ... surely there are other things more important to you both than the pursuit of the Champ ? Focus on finding a winner - not screwing over a perfectly well run piece of cyberspace . Come on lads - let it go ... PS Namned .. Bob Champion ... ???
I really can't fathom why the people using this forum cannot just respect each other and not trawl through posts eagerly looking to pick arguments. You can spot them coming easier than the next winner!
GGW if anything is driving people away it is when people post up multiple losers then pop up with a short price winner and give it the big one without acknowledging the efforts of others. Too often have I seen the 'Champ' and his cheerleader ignore other members who pop up with decent price winners. I suspect they band together as the weak/socially awkward find strength in numbers. They also don't like it when you bestow high praise on others as the focus has shifted from them for a change. This spat began because I took issue with aftertiming, fake betting slips (which, admittedly haven't been posted up since I pointed this out) and I was called a mug when I challenged the 'Champ'. I tried to engage in intelligent conversation regarding this but went unheard. His cheerleader loses his rag quickly and tends to use a fair amount of expletives which displays the level of intellect I have to deal with. I also feel the forum has gone quiet due to it being the flat season. If I remember rightly, the old 606 forum was quiet at this time of year, coupled with the fact it is summer and people may be on their holidays, it could offer a reasonable explanation. Ek, NamNed makes a valid point. If someone refers to themselves as 'Champ' in the third person without the results to back it up, they are there to be shot at in my opinion. I hope that clears things up and rest assured I am not alone in what I am thinking as I have had several people private message me echoing my sentiments. They have explained to me they haven't spoken up as they would prefer to keep the peace. I work in an environment where I have to challenge people and when I see people just talking utter nonsense, I feel the need to step in and say something. This is not something I will ever apologise for.
Really? Do we have to do this again? Nam Ned, you wally, you are completely wrong. I've been on here for a long time as Ron can attest. Just last week I put up a 10/1 winner. I get the feeling you and Drever most likely spend your Saturday nights with each other.
This looks a nightmare of a race with not a lot of natural speed on but ill take a chance on Asatir 20/1 e/w
If you think I lack the results Drever that is fine. It's wrong but it's fine. I think this started the day after I put up a 20/1 winner but that goes forgotten because it doesn't fit your argument/point of view. Last week I put up a 10/1 winner and 33/1 place as well as a 3/1 winner. I'll not go any further back. I am very quick to congratulate winners as many well know. I don't congratulate your irregular wins as I think you're a degenerate. If you don't like that we'll have to agree to disagree. You started all this nonsense. I didn't even notice you before hand.
I'm not trying to have a pop! The last thing I'm doing is trawling through posts - I just wanted to know why the "Champ" was being banded about? Sometimes it's nice to have a bit of banter on here, it does go a bit stale at times and there's only so many times I can laugh at a Sir Barney post.
