RCDM correct the ship has been steadied after that bastard Bates raped the club. I do however have a problem though with GFH as they've changed their tune from this time last year. They were all for telling the fans what was going on, they were promising us that the aim was prem football. They took over too late for the window and didn't bother in January so we wasted a season AGAIN!!! This time we have a manager who has 7 players lined up wanting to come and he meets with GFH to get the green light, and a week later no news from the club except that a new clothes sponsor has signed.

The club needs investment and the facts are these: The longer we spend in this division, the harder it will be to get out. Parachute payments are now massive and little, tiny, small clubs are getting millions more than us in revenues and can buy players. We need investment to get out of this league now!!!

I think that if we let Morison go to Wall they may give us another wide boy Del Boy Trotter! Would fit in well with BATES and co

Morning all. Busy busy today so only had time to flit through comments. Couple of points, whatever statement the club makes is irrelevant unless it goes something like. "We are pleased to announce mr xxx as new club chairman having bought 10 or 15% of the club. Money is now available for manager to substantially strengthen the squad".I'm not interested in reading spin and waffle about waiting for funds or similar ****. As for those of you believing this iso a two or three year plan. Fine, but we are stationery at best under this lot and without some positive action, we will spend this season looking down and not up

This time last year GFH hadn't anywhere near taken over?

Some of you are whipping each other up into frenzies over something that hasn't and may or may not happen yet.

There's been relatively little business done over the football league as it is... Transfer Window

I think the "frenzies" are coming from the fact that to date gfh have invested nothing in the playing squad. Thats fact and all we have to go on. If or when they do, some of us will be proven wrong and will be thrilled. Until they actually do something of note they cant expect anything else from the fans and if there is no change, expect attendances to fall to lower levels than last season

This time last year every one of us were informed and believed that new owners were iminent and already in place. We were just waiting for Bates to sign and knowing what we know now I wish Warnock had fooked off as he said he would. Warnock believed we had new owners and he had met them and been told he was going to be supported. So the reality is that this time last year we were all aware of our new owners, although the deal took ages to be completed

Same people and same problems although now GFH realise that without having decent players they will carry on losing fans as we've had enough. So GFH reduce prices to get some of us back on side, which has to be applauded, but wouldn't they have been better off telling the fans that they were about to invest some serious cash into the squad so get your season tickets sorted quickly. By doing nothing except reducing prices only shows me that they don't have the funds

This has just been posted on another site by Yorkie and relates to last nights Q&A with BMD:

From a lad who went to a Q&A with McDermott.

BM had 95% of confidence in signing his 7 targets at the start, now he laughed and said 5%
Noel hunt is 95% to sign for leeds
BM says if he actually had £3m he would get us promoted this year easily, although its still possible without money
A statement will be released tomorrow by the club, BM doesn't have a clue what its about
BM says he was told he had £3m and gfh are looking for an invester, he's 7 players lined up, but no money to do the deals
We have no money, BM seems annoyed about false promises already
Its not all over and doom and gloom yet, he says lots of wheeling and dealing will have to take place, and hopefully we get an investor asap
He also said Ross McCormack has agreed he won't drink for a while and if he does he will give £10,000 to charity every time he does haha

Scary **** isn't it and if true fook alls changed. BMD saying if he had only £3m he would get us promoted

Point me in the direction of where they have ever said since they came in that they were going to be a bigger investor in the team?

I don't get why people are shocked and have so much faux outrage.

They've shelled out £30m+ on buying the club and clearing up some of the sh*t left by Bates.
They are in effect getting rid of Bates.
They've introduced some good new initiatives at the club.
    They've cut ticket prices.
They've brought in a very good young manager, who plays decent football.
They quickly closed one of Bate's loss making ventures in Howards Restaurant.

On top of that the transfer window isn't even open yet.

We all want to get promoted asap, including GFH.
After all the damage Bates has done, including basically giving away a big chunk of this seasons ST money on his building projects, it was never going to be over night and I just don't get why some people can't see that.

Its going to take time to build this club back up to being a force again and people that want it here and now I'm afraid are going to be very disappointed over the coming months and years.

And there it is, they have never once said they are going to invest millions in the playing squad this summer.

Bottom line ... GFH did not buy Leeds for a long term growth project, these fcukers took a punt thinking they would triple their "investment" sharpish, except reality has kicked in and they suddenly realise running a football clib properly WITH ambition is not so easy. The fact that they sold of some of their shares already is a worry. I think they are looking for a way out, and if it means no money for the squad this window then so be it. GFH are not here for the good of Leeds, they're here for the good of their wallets.

On day of takeover, Bates said gfh had an extremely wealthy backer and gfh didnt refute it. In my book that is blatant lies and bullshit and Iv'e heard enough of it. I'm long enough in business, 30 years, to weed out most chancers from proper clients and I've had a bad feeling about this lot from the start. As Ive said previously, I pray I'm wrong and youre right. By investing nothing proves they are clueless as well as penniless. Current squad is a million miles short of promotion contenders and only serious investment will get us in contention. They are either unable or unwilling to provide cash so were stumped for the immediate future

The whole GFH thing got clouded in mist this time last year. The rich backer Eire refers to has got to be the original major shareholder who pulled the plug and held things up badly. If you remember the story was that this backer wanted Bates to sign an indemnity agreement which meant that the new owners would not be liable for anything that crept out of the woodwork later. (Obviously knew bates rep) Bates refused so the deal collapsed right up until GFH said fook it we can do this alone .... Since then they've been trying to offload shares all over the place

So was it Bates or GFH's fault they didn't have the rich backer still onboard?....

Dont care but i see exactly where we stand at the moment. No money and a **** squad, same as last half dozen seasons. Three seasons back, everyone was whining Grayson was not backed in transfer market so lets see whats changed. Like everyone else, hoping for change but certainly not expecting it

Lets get 5 million for Byram then and build that squad to get us up if we have no cash.

A loan back for the season for him to devolp would do everyone a favour. And before people get out there stations about selling our best young talent etc, I do agree but lets face it. WE ARE NOT THE CLUB WE ONCE WAS AT THIS MOMENT IN TIME. Lets get nack in the prem and then we can afford to keep hold of who we want (still in reason lads!)

Cant make an omelette without cracking a few eggs (thats no yolk directed at McDermotts appearance BTW)

Right, duck and cover time. Afternoon all BTW <ok>

Only £5k Bucks for Byram. Clubs at the top of the PL & elsewhere would bite your hand off to get away with paying only £5m. In the current environment, he's probably worth at least £8m, especially as he will have re-sale value to an even bigger club in a few years time.

    Morning by the way.

Whilst I agree boggers, no one will give Leeds 8 mil. Look at previous business deals, we are a soft touch to do business with because we are in no position to call the shots.
