Morning Bob, but, bloody hell, you just told us to ' Strap on your punting pants Pilgrims'. What should we do now, unstrap them? . Just kidding! Under the whip today as friends over for lunch, so best of luck to all having a wager today!
Morning all... A grand start to the day, and back to what resembles a summer temperature, with not a cloud in the sky to bother us either... I got excited when opening my emails this morning as ATR had sent me a Tracker Notification, so i thought id post it up for all to see... Then i find that 'The Champ' picks a runner in the same race, Stick agrees, and Drever has picked another one... Houseparty was the horse, showing at 10/1... Then i opened the betting card on Paddy Power and its a bloomin non-runner now...!!! So, Mighty Clarets it is then...
Ding dong, people, it’s the old Carlisle Bell today. However, it’s down at Kempers Park this eve that I’m drawn to a steed: Lucanin (8.50) – makes his handicap bow here of a perch of 80 but is actually bred to win a Derby being by old boy Galileo and out of a Group 1 winning mare. Sir Michael’s gelding ran 2 very respectable races as a 3YO (including being beaten just 2 lengths by the now 104 rated Trade Commissioner) whilst his comeback run, after a year off, last month indicated that he still had fire in the old belly. Given that his dam also finished runner-up in a ‘Ribbisdale’ Lucanin should relish the step up to 11 furlongs and he looks a very decent prospect for Sir Michael both tonight and for the rest of the season. Meanwhile, a bit of less inspiring news is that unless there are widescale withdrawals Mr Henderson’s Lieutenant Miller is unlikely to get in Saturday’s ‘Richard Pitman’s Derby’. Only the top 20 will make the cut and he currently is ranked 30. Troops, try to hide your disappointment stoically. Good luck all.
Morning all, a nice card at Worcester and I fancy Buchaill Allain in the opener. Later on I reckon Isthereadifference will outrun his odds in the 4.45. I suspect that Qulinton may be lined up for a Pipe plot in the competitive handicap hurdle at 5.15. Then a bit of sponging with Mighty Clarets in the last which all adds up to a nice little win Lucky15. Good luck all.
Champ , chump , chimp .... who really cares what anyone wants to title themselves ... I give you SBC ... self appointed knight of this forum as a shining example ... what does it matter ... ??? I respectfully suggest we call ourselves whatever we want and that the rest of us get over it ...after all ...its only cyberspace !!! So Drever - put it to one side ... or if you like annoint yourself with a suitable soubriquet and move on .. Fear nought , be brave , for all will be well ... Ekbalco the Slayer ..... Things were going so well today ............. lets keep it light lads ? (and Pnkt)
2:40 Worcester - Keki Buku 10/3 3:50 Salisbury - Commend 5/1 6:50 Kempton - Lombok 5/1 9:20 Kempton - Graphic 7/2 Lucky 15 on these for me, prices are a bit crap but having a go anyway
I agree Ekbalco. I suggest if people don't like my moniker (hard won in a convincing style if I remember correctly) they refrain from posting on my threads. Start your own if you'd like to avoid contact. The Champ is going nowhere.
Well said, doesn't matter what you call yourself or how much you need your ego stroking at the end of the day it's just a forum for people to air views and opinions in whatever form they wish so I agree with Ekbalco lighten up everyone!
The title that everyone on the forum is unanimous about is, of course, ‘Mr Henderson, the forum’s favourite trainer’.
