Neither can I! I can't see us shelling 12m for Bony. We might stretch to the likes of Hooper and Redmond though who are going fairly cheap. It is hard to say because we did shell out for Cisse. I'll say it quietly because it seems to have been overlooked, I think we need 2 strikers not 1!

 

I agree with you we need two strikers with hopefully Shola leaving in the summer (won't happen). Redmond I'm not sure about though, Blues will probably want something like 5-6million (not sure if he is worth anywhere near that) and I from what I have seen of him I'm not sure what he could give us. Bluenoses would probably laugh their heads if we ended up paying 6 million for him.

Then again I read this morning that they may except bids for 2 million for Redmond which is pretty good to be fair.

Probably, but at least it's a positive story and I'll take any positive 'news' after the fiasco we've had in the media over the last couple of weeks.

 

For me Bony has the physicality to succeed in the Prem, £12m very much worth the gamble.

 

12 million is an excellent price, but we won;t get him for that, and hence wont get him end of

 

This, he's in the picture for other more ambitious clubs than us, it reminds me of Gervinho and Arsenal to some extent although his attitude was the deal breaker in that case.

 

Can't see us getting drawn into a bidding war. 12m is a lot of money. Personally what little I've seen looks good. However do we need yet another ACON striker?

The Blackpool away friendly is coming up shortly, we should be starting to get some of idea of what's going on with the changes to the squad.

And no, we certainly don't need another ACON striker. We could end up not being able to field a full team if we continue along that road.
