Who knows a pretty good ITK by the sounds of it told him about Cabaye a couple of weeks back, rekons that Brucie has targeted Aaron Lennon as one of his major targets for the summer.

Would love it if true

 

No chance whatsoever. I can't even fathom the idea that he'd be on Bruce's list of targets. 1 there is no way he would leave spurs and come to sunderland and 2 right midfield is not a pressing issue considering we have Henderson, Sessegnon, Elmo and steed who can all play there. I imagine if he was to leave spurs they'd want the best part of £15m for him.

Of course id have him, my point was that its unfathomable and unrealistic to even entertain the notian that Aaron Lennon could be a Sunderand player next season. Defoe is marginally more realistic, he's clearly not happy with his playing time at spurs and he only needs to look what coming here from spurs did for the last striker to do so. I'm a big fan of defoe but cant see him and gyan working as a pair.

Why would we want Lennon - Great running at people but his final delivery is poor - doesn't set many goals up with crosses even though he's capable and has often got players like Crouch and Pavlyuchenko in the centre.

Don't get me wrong - I think he has ability but Henderson is a better crosser when running with the ball than Lennon is. Lennon would give us that directness though as he is one who loves to run at defenders.

All in all I doubt we'll get get him - he'll be expensive and I'm not sure why Spurs would want to sell him

Surely there is no truth in the rumour as we have plenty right sided midfielders and Lennon is a first teamer at Spurs.

Good rumour though as i am sick of hearing about Bothroyd, DJ Campbell, Vaughan & Larsson
