Unlike too many other clubs, we are financially secure. We have signed a lot of very good players recently. We have very good scouting now.

We are not very ambitious judging by recent transfer windows where relegation risks and/or player departures haven't forced spending. We have made some terrible management and board-room appointments.

I think the pros outweigh the cons and we could end up with far worse if Ashley were to sell and go. I'd rather he stayed put.

As a neutral can I say please be careful what you wish for, If Ashley goes you might end up with owners like those that Franchise (Cardiff) City have got and be told you have to play in red and whites stripes because it is lucky in Outer *****lia or where ever your new owners come from. About Ashley I have no feelings what so ever about your choice of sponsor different story, hope you find a happy medium somewhere good luck for the coming year.

I think there needs to be a third option to be honest ACS. Those who dislike the regime and are generally against many of the things they stand for, but don't want the club handed over to just anybody.

I don't trust him. Any weird decision he'd weigh up for the commercial good. We've had a poor season followed by a bad week.

At the moment I'm minded to like him to sell up, but that does come with a bit of risk. I think we need more pain before recovering, so my vote takes this into account.

100% against because he lies and doesn't care about Newcastle, Newcastle United or anyone else on the planet.

He's a horrible man that make millions exploiting the third world and people of low intelligence.

It should be about winning football fans and having pride in your local area and under this man there is not even hope.

Another thing I'd add is the FACT he got doe for lieing to the press etc - so in all honesty he's a lieing horrible locust.

All this ****e about business models is exactly what's wrong with football.

I think Ashley does care about his business model first and last. And if any pain needs to happen along the way, it's a price us lot will need to pay. Maybe this is sound in business and does work. But this model has quite an emotional effect on us too, because our football club is so important in our lives.

I'm Pro Ashley for now, a reluctant one but still pro nonetheless.

But for a negative reason, because, I just think there are worse potential owners out there than him.
For me its a case of be careful what you wish for.

Don't like him, but then again I never liked Westwood, McKeag, Fat Freddie and the Halls.
They're all the same, in it for themselves.

<doh> I've now lost all respect for you. Suggesting Fat Fred was an angel compared to anyone is akin to suggesting Hitlers economic policy was so fantastic, that his persecution and genocide should have been overlooked.

They are all a bunch of business men but at least they pretended to care.

ps having no respect from you won't effect how many sprinkles I have of this 99 today so in all honesty I don't give a ****.

But really you shouldn't mix horses and football, all self respecting fans know this. This leads me to believe you are indeed the horse puncher from derby day.

I took the question to mean:

"In a choice between Ashley and a new owner about whom you knew nothing, who would you pick ?"
