Was hoping for a flying start to the season, which would make so much difference to the atmosphere around the club. No home league game in August is not going to help that one little bit! Why is it? TV scheduling demanding a League Cup game on Saturday 10th?

Only one home game in December too.....

Well either I'm going daft, a very real possibility, or that fixture wasn't there when the list went up first thing this morning. In fact I'm damn sure it wasn't as I couldn't understand why there wasn't one - I even counted the divisional list at 11 at multiplied by 2 to check there was a game missing and I hadn't just gone blind.

Anyway, we do have a home game in August but I was really really hoping for 3 points at home in the first game to get the season off with a bang. An away defeat will restart the jitters right away!

It was also mentioned on another Argyle site that there wasn't an August home game......so there must of been an error on one of the listing sites.....so there is a possibility that you might not be daft notDistant.

I'm away for Christmas this year as going to Butlins with daughter and family for a change so I'm quite chuffed about the Christmas arrangements. But, the Exeter game according to my son who I bumped into today before having a chance to look at the fixtures, is on a Tuesday night. That's the home one. What is the matter with the football league? That decision could take a good few thousand off the numbers. Saturday and that would be at least 12 to 14000. Tuesday night and more likely 10000. Don't they realise that clubs in this league struggle for revenue as it is without them taking money making matches away.

Different season and all clubs start afresh. No reason to believe we will start with a struggle this time around and clubs like Fleetwood for example will start with a bang. We can just as easily go to Southend on game one and win. We have to play them all twice whatever our fortunes so what order they come in is irrelevant right now. After 10 games it might become more important of course but not now. Bring it on.

Well the jolly to Portugal wasnt a total waste of time then, Argyle asked for the Scum, Torquay and Portsmouth home games to be early in the season due to some possible ground developments that apparently maybe happening, not heard anything about it myself, so we get October, New Years and mid/week March....bloody idiots.

2 away games in the Xmas period when I am back as well so not impressed!!!

Still pipping Pompey to be crowned Champions, on their own turf, last game of the season does have a nice ring to it.

    NDG going daft mate <ok>

PS Do not let Plym convince you otherwise he is losing it too <whistle>

The off-season notDistant should be a time of recovery from the stresses of end of season survival.

Although many Argyle fans at present are heading for coronary thrombosis problems because of the "tiny" stand development that is ruling their lives at present.

Should they not be more concerned about the quality of players that Sheridan will be trying to bring in during the next few weeks.....if he cannot get who he wants.... 6/7000 will be the best support PAFC can expect.....putting ground size on the back burner for awhile........maybe just another year building away from administration can be all we can hope for.

Well of course despite what I said about changing managers having little or no effect, I'm now hoping Sheridan to **** wonders and **** miracles as a vicar or my acquaintance used to say.

They don't do knobbly knees anymore plym or any of the other naff competitions they used to in the old days. No food to buy and a bit of entertainment along with company of grandson is not that bad a deal.

The football league couldn't organise a proverbial in a brewery. I am imagining the last game V pompey and it being the decider for the title.........
