To be fair to the "twits", they were saying this on Friday about paulinho. Despite a bit of doubt over the last couple of days, it's soon changed again. I think it was Notso who said that it would be inappropriate/disrespectful for him to be making comments about his club career, when he's playing in a national cup competition. Well, as he got injured, I guess it became irrelevant and the truth has now come out. 1/1 for the twits so far. They are currently saying that Benteke is not something they've heard about and the focus is on villa. (David, not Aston) It also seems soldado is a high priority.
Also, I have to say I'm quite excited about this window. If we're spending 17m on paulinho, which will break our transfer record, we must be planning a massive spend this summer. That's a huge amount considering we need 2 strikers!
According to Metro Gareth Bale will pull Levy's heartstring's to get his dream move to Real.Just a pull out of the air comment,as Gareth has said nothing!
To me it's all a load of dibble ap dap dap dap dap dap dap dap dap. But if he leaves then good luck and we'll use the money to buy two good strikers. I don't care if he goes because the club is bigger than individuals and will survive. I still think we'll see a surprise or two before the season starts. Ooh,Debbie Harry on the radio with Heart of Glass, wow what a pair of Scotch eggs that girl had on her. Back in a mo.
Paulinho's looked great from what I've seen. Welcomed addition. Hope we seal the deal after the Confeds. Villa next please Mr Levy/ Baldini
Spurs or Sex,wouldn't you prefer a younger striker than Villa to stay with us longer? I know I would.
Both. I think we tend to underestimate the influence someone like Villa would have outside of just the 90mins on the pitch. Winning mentality, experience, looked up to and respected and therefore (hopefully) learned from by the youngsters, etc etc.
50-50 for me Thor. While I appreciate Villa is on the wrong side of 30, he's still one of Europe's best finishers and a huge step up on what we have, his experience and winning mentality is also a huge bonus to his undeniable talent. Unless we can get Benteke/ Soldado/ Damiao I don't see a better option available.
Doesn't bother me at all that he's over 30 - I can picture him being at the top of his game til he's 34 or so, hell, I would have taken a 34 year old Del Piero, Raul, or Van Nistelrooy, so why not a 30 year old Villa. Having said that if it came to a toss up between Villa and Soldado, I think I'd choose Soldado.
Fair points, now what about Debbie Harry's legs in her heyday, would you prefer them around your backs or around your necks? I know what I'd prefer.
Just repeating the bollocks in Marca yesterday, saying Bale wants a move despite a complete lack of evidence or quotes to back this up.
Not quite mate, I said the player is not going to be excused by his manager during a tourny to go and speak to club reps to finalise a deal. A response to posters who thought it should be done. Its a different thing altogether when these Internationals do their media interviews and get quizzed, and more often than not misquoted. If his injury has ended his tournament then again thats different, but I don't know that it has.
Chelsea have spunked £18m on Shurrle. Does that push Lukaku closer to the door? He'd be a good signing for us imo
He could well be, but I think Monginho has already said he's staying, not even going out on loan, BUT, that was before the signing of Shirley or whatever the twats name is! Torres or Ba to leave before him I'd say.
