We apparently showed interest but did not folllow up in PSG left back Tiene Siaka. Not too surprising given his age. However the good news is that we are actively seeking to fill the troublesome left back spot. please log in to view this image "Ivory Coast left-back Tiene Siaka, who has agreed to join Montpellier, hit out at Fulham for failing to make a move for his services. The 31-year-old was made available for transfer by Paris Saint-Germain this summer after struggling to force his way into Carlo Ancelotti's plans in the team's Ligue 1 title-winning side last term. Cottagers' boss Martin Jol was linked with a move for Siaka but failed to follow up his initial interest and the player has opted to remain in France with Montpellier. However, he hit out at the Londoners for not giving him an opportunity to ply his trade in the English Premier League. "I am leaving PSG because they do not want me," he said. "It was a good experience to leave a team who won the league. "Fulham has been linked with me, but never went in for me which they should have done. I have always wanted to play in the Premier League" Source: http://www.clubcall.com/fulham/cottage-snub-frustrates-siaka-1601280.html.
Quite. And what have you ever done that would persuade us to buy you Msr Siaka. Clearly he is his own agent.
This story http://www.shropshirestar.com/sport...enny-jackett-no-one-wants-to-buy-jamie-ohara/ mentions we're in negotiations with Sako and the feature player could be an option but not at £5m. This one suggests Malanda may be slipping from reach http://hereisthecity.com/2013/06/20...dfielder-certain-to-leave-tipped-for-tottenh/
Could we be one of the two having had bids accepted for Nathan Redmond? Or the third, who hasn't? please log in to view this image "Birmingham City boss Lee Clark has revealed that two offers from Premier League clubs have been accepted for Nathan Redmond. A third bid has failed to match the Blues' valuation, with Swansea City, Norwich City and Fulham reported to be the sides to have expressed an interest in the highly-rated winger. Redmond has been linked with a step up into the top flight for some time, and the 19-year-old was one of the few England U21 starlets to leave this summer's European Championship with their reputation enhanced." Source: http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/8791537/ The strong rumours are that it's Swansea and Norwich who have had £2.5m bids accepted for the winger. Can't say I'm too disappointed.
I'm not sure. £2.5m for a 19 year-old Redmond is not bad business and he could slot into our group of young wingers quite effectively. Won't be devastated if we miss out though.
Reports are linking Dan Burn going to Birmingham on loan with Lee Clark hinting at the possibility, as they have sold Curtis Davies to Hull. Says he has held talks with two Premier clubs to take a Left sided and the other a right sided Center Half.
Bit of a shock this. And to Yeovil fans: "The Sky Sports website is claiming that Championship side Birmingham City are making a move for Fulham defender Dan Burn. They line him up against quotes from Blues boss Lee Clark who has told the Birmingham Mail that he has a deal in place to take two Premier League centre-halves on loan for the 2013-14 season, with one of those described as left-sided. The Mail quotes Clark as saying that terms have been agreed with two unnamed players, and that it is just a matter of the duo returning from their holidays and taking a medical to seal the deals: "I have agreed terms with two players and two Premier League clubs to take a right-sided centre-half and a left-sided centre-half on season-long loans. Those deals are subject to medicals when the lads get off holidays, as Premier League teams aren't due back for 10 days to two weeks. But I hope to have those completed next week because the agreements with the players and the clubs are in place. It's just down to them coming through the medicals. I have spoken to both players and I will be delighted to get them." Here is a link to the rest of their article: http://www.ciderspace.co.uk/ASP/news/news.asp?NewsItemId=19730 Struggling to understand what it says about our youth policy when tied in with the other rumours floating around.
Totally baffling the mindset of the Fulham hierarchy regarding transfers and lonees, If the aforementioned article is correct why has DB not being included as a squad player, this also applies to several of our youngsters.(GRIMMER WOODROW JERONEN & THE TANK. And as for the rumour of Reither going for what ? 3mil ,if this should happen it beggers belief, it will only raise queries in many of the fans, at the clubs aparent lack of ambition.
Well Ros, I'd hold off on criticising the club for selling Riether at least until we actually sign him next week if not until there is a credible source for him leaving. But if that were to happen, then the criticism should be levelled directly at MAF - Jol would not have missed how important Riether was to our team last season. I think it is fair to question our youth policy if we sign Redmond, instead of promoting one of our own youngsters. However, it should equally be said that the reported c.£3m is quite reasonable for a 19 year old England under-21 international.
If Burn goes to Birmingham on loan we can assume that we are one of the clubs who have had a bid accepted for Redmond. You scratch my back...
Tankcovic 43; Grimmer 44 are their squad numbers. Dan Burn looks like subject of a loan deal to Brum in an attempt to attract an U21 international - (we brought in Kaca as a part finished youngster - that seems to be going OK) Sascha R is still here - do you believe every paper rumour? Wind yer neck in!
Tosh We comment on what we all perceive. Unless you have insider knowledge your comments are just as speculative as mine.
My comment 1 .....Tankcovic 43; Grimmer 44 are their squad numbers. Factual not opinion - see FFc site My comment 3 .....Sascha R is still here - do you believe every paper rumour? Factual and a question My Comment 2.....Dan Burn looks like subject of a loan deal to Brum in an attempt to attract an U21 international - (we brought in Kaca as a part finished youngster - that seems to be going OK) My opinion v yours - fair enough, on this one my opinion is just as speculative as yours; though not as unremittingly sour, negative, unnecessarily critical and deliberately offensive to staff/owners/players of my club.
Your club tosh,.as a season ticket holder continuous for the last 19years, i feel the comments i make maybe contentious and thought prevoking but my submissions are made with the best interests in my following of FFC.
Can't see much of a problem with Burn going on loan to Brum, he deserves a season in the Championship to further develop himself. Next season Hangeland will be another year older and Senderos may be gone, so he'll have a better chance at staking his claim.
I can't see the problem if Burn is going on loan to Birmingham either. Several regulars on here have been saying for months that what he needs is a season on loan in the championship, and hoping that he'd get that at Yeovil once they got promoted. How is a loan spell at Birmingham worse than one at Yeovil? Personally I like Yeovil more, but in footballing terms he's probably going to a better side, so if anything it's marginally better for him. And, let's not forget, we're all speculating that he's the left sided defender referred to. It could yet turn out to be someone else (it could even be Matthew Briggs!)
Ever the 'Logical Man', Captain and would be good for the young man. I hope you're correct for the other reason that it means Jol would certainly be chasing a quality left back, what with JAR rumoured to be off to Buraspor in Turkey.
A name from the rumours a couple of years ago: Andre-Pierre Gignac is being linked with a £12m move to Newcastle. I was keen on him back then, but I can't see us competing if that's the price he's being touted around for.
