Alright mate, It seems to go out of tune faster than it should but a farted about with the truss rod when I got it, Maybe it needed a professional's touch. Anyway my daughter's borrowing it to practice for playing in Springhead. I've been concentrating on the fiddle the last few months
Hope it goes Ok for your daughter Dean, sounds like she is making good progress. Didnt know you played the fiddle as well, I,ve just aquired a banjo that I,m messing about with, dont know much about them really but having a bit of fun with it. I went to see "Keep it Cash" a few weeks ago Dean a Johnny Cash tribute band I think you would have enjoyed it.
Just got back to this thread and thought I'd let you know what happened: I clicked on your link and was informed it could not be found/connected to. So I entered the link, manually, in my search box and that was when the 'Zango' warning came up. (So I didn't go there!)
She's played in Pelican on a thursday night a few times now although I haven't made it yet ( working away ) hopefuly I will be home for a while now and get in. My fiddle playing has a long way to go. Is your banjo a 4 string or 5 ? Seen "Keep it Cash" 3 times and would highly recommend them to anyone.
I hope you get to see her perform before you go back away Dean, The banjo I got used to belong to our lasses dad, I remember us all clubbing together to buy him it in the late 70,s. He never really learned to play it and it just got put away over the years, its a 5 string ands to be honest its in a bit of a state. I tuned it to open G and managed to get some sort of noise out of it. I,m hoping to restore a little it in winter and learn a few tunes on it so that the wife can think about her ol dad and the good times we all had while he was here.
