I know I took the piss a bit the other day about them.

But they scored 9 goals between them, they hardly set the world alight and one would argue that you would still have been promoted without them.

Like Proud said, I still know **** all about Gedo apart from the fact he had a half decent start before going on a very long dry spell and that Boyd is nothing more than an average Championship attacking midfielder.

Craig Gordon and Jim Leighton spring to mind and of course Besiktas are so inferior to yourselves! :D

3 of Gedo's goals were winners so you could equally argue that without his contribution those 3 games would have been drawn. Boyd's winner at Huddersfield also turned a potential 1 pointer into 3, so together their contribution was invaluable to us.

    But that's not what he's saying <doh>

He can stay here, leave with his loyalty bonus in tact, get a big signing on fee for a bigger (and more stable) club on a good long term contract.

or he could go to Hull and could easily (and I expect them to) be relegated which would leave him back to square one and would damage his reputation.

Leicester is a better long term option than Hull, simple as that.

Jamie Vardy's goal against Burnley won us 3 points ages ago. We wouldn't have made the playoffs without him. Such a crucial goal.... <doh>

Why are they? Are you certain to go up next season? Even if we get relegated - and we might do - there is no reason why we won't have a squad capable of bouncing back up again the following year.

At the time Gedo came into the team we were struggling for goals - three winners in a week against Derby, Charlton and Blackburn get our impetus going again :D

If Kasper gets into the Premier League and performs well, then he'll stay in the Premier League.

His best long term option is to get to the Premier League as soon as he can.

I don't even want us to sign him and I can see that, anyone not blinded by club loyalty can see that.

And without Gedo and Boyd we wouldn't have been promoted, they made the difference.

As I've said, Kasper will be up for grabs next summer if we're not promoted (and possibly even if we are). I'd be amazed if established Prem clubs don't come in for him on a free.

Either way, he's better off than signing a three year contract with you now that, in all likelihood, will involve two years outside the top flight.

Think Kasper knows that the owners won't weaken the team in order to make quick money. If we were selling our best players, i bet he'd hand in a transfer request, but we aren't so its all good <ok>

OLM's problem is i called it from the start that Kasper wont go to Hull. We wouldnt want to do business with them and Kasper wouldnt be all that interested

He kept saying they will get him for around 2.5M

So whos the thickest person on the site?

I said I thought £2.5m would probably get him, it still might do if someone bids it.

I never said we'd get him for £1.75m, which it seems is all we were willing to bid.

You should see someone about your apostrophe deficiency, I hear it's easy to treat nowadays. <ok>

As expected this thread has become a **** slinging one but before I leave you all to it, I have a legit question:

Was the rumour that Hull were offering Hobbs as part of a deal for Kasper true?

If so, does that mean that he is available for transfer - wouldn't mind having him back tbh.

All the papers seemed to think it was Hobbs, i wouldn't mind him back either, prob would be south of £1m if they don't really want him.

Hes as good, if not better than Keane with more experience of the championship, don't know what hes been like since his injury though, but still got a fair few minutes of play last season for someone that was injured through alot of it.

Hull are about to sign Curtis Davies and Charlie Austin

How long until the papers run with Hobbs and Fryatt returning.

Fryatt will do well as 5th choice behind Nugent, Wood, Ba and Vardy

Hobbs would be class alongside Big Wes
