Not true, you said there were cheaper options - not necessarily better.

You'd have loved to sign him, no question about it. But Kasper sees staying with us as a better long-term option, as I predicted.

Good luck with that McGregor chap.

In all honesty, I don't know enough about him to say. He's played for Rangers and Besiktas, neither of which I watch regularly although both have been good sides whilst he was with them and given Bruce's track record of signings since he's been here, I have no reason to doubt his ability before having seen him play for us.

No, OLM said Schwarzer was his preferred choice and not only cheaper but better than Kasper, and I'd agree.

I'm very happy with the signing, I said from day one that it was a better option for us and I stand by that.

I can only assume that there are a lot of people on this thread who've never seen him play.

Congratulations on keeping Kasper, I hope you have a long and successful life together. <ok>

I said we shouldn't sign him, so it's absolutely true, I never thought it was the right move for us and I still don't(I wouldn't have been disappointed if we had signed him, but I didn't think he was anywhere near our best option).

First choice Freidel(which was never likely), second choice Schwarzer(which I hoped would actually happen), third choice Given(which was also unlikely, but only due to wages), fourth choice McGregor, fifth choice Sorensen.

I'd still like to see either Forde or Moore come in as our No.2.

As for being a 'better long term option', it's utter bollocks, any Premier League team meets your valuation and he'll be off like a shot. That's true of almost every player, at almost every club, anyone who believes otherwise is deluded.

Ok name me 1 good scottish goalkeeper. If McGregor is any good explain why he has never played for a decent club and is now moving to you?

For someone who didnt want Schmeichel has spent alot of time talking about him

The last two players of ours that you said were **** were Gedo and Boyd.

    They got us promoted.

    You're clueless.

Being in the Prem isn't everything. A player with ambition won't join a club that looks certainties for relegation, especially when he's on good money where he is anyway. He knows the Prem will come soon enough, but it needs to be with the right type of club. End of the day, if Kasper wanted to join Hull, he'd have put in a transfer request to get the deal moving.

And I'm so deluded, everything has happened exactly as I called it. The offers you lot said would be enough got you nowhere and Kasper is asking to leave. <ok>

Maybe other clubs are respectful enough to pay attention to our evaluation and not bother with risible bids. Besides, he may be available on free next season. The bigger clubs will certainly be keeping an eye on him in the forthcoming season.
