Thing is Mick we'll all have different opinions regardless of what we do and don't know about a specific incident. It's human nature. As far as i am concerned the bare facts - i.e. a teacher ran off with a pupil who was below the age of consent - are enough to make me say that 5 years is right and he should not have got a lesser sentence though i'm basing that more on the setting of a precedent rather than the specifics of this particular case. I just feel that a lenient sentence would have said it's ok for teachers to become involved with their pupils when, by and large, it really isn't.

Those involved obviously knew more about it than we do but just because the dad thinks he should have been spared jail it doesn't automatically make him right.

 

have you got daughters that go to his school? if not, i suggest you speak to someone who has.
