Ooh Lincoln Ladies ;) Possibly the greatest rebranding ever. Although it was down to sponsorship reasons, I think it raised their profile ever so slightly. It certainly made me smile.

EDIT: Apparently from 2014 onwards they are to be known as Notts County Ladies. I presume that's the worst possible kind of rebranding.

Are they big in Asia now? <laugh>

NRL and NFL teams don't count I'm afraid, they've always had names like that, it's their heritage, just as City, United etc is ours.

A friend and fellow season ticket holder had a suprise meal at the KC as fathers day gift. They were told there by the club that they were changing the name to Hull Tigers...no ifs no buts....

Bored with this now. The club know the consensus of opinion amongst the fans. If there is good reason give the justification and do it, or, if no good reason, drop the matter. Waste of time money and energy. Personally I don't really care, but if there is no good reason don't do it.

It would appear so, yes. I cringed so hard at the thought that my forehead prolapsed. I now look like Wharf from Star Trek.

You'd be as well renaming yourselves Hull Huns or Hull Rangers from some of the threads I've seen on here.

Go to 1:21 for a potential solution to that problem.

I think they're all a bit batty. I think they call us "hun" in an affectionate way. Like our women like to call us.

It's alright, it rectified itself when I thought about Karen Gillian naked, smothered in honey and with a copy of the racing post sticking out her bum. My body relaxed into a semi concious state and any concerns about looking like Michael Dorn just melted away.

Man Utd are big abroad because they win things. Not because of their name or any changes. It's the same with Chelsea, Barca, Real, Liverpool etc.

The name change would do sod all, except make us look like a bunch of chumps.

The messages from the club today didn't come out from Hull Tigers.

    Or even Hull City Tigers.

Well done City, let's keep it that way.

I would like to put my two pennies worth.

First the name has to be Hull City no ifs no buts.

I never use Tigers, it's Hull or City for me. Hull Tigers sounds like a gay netball team.

I don't think I've ever called us anything other than City.
