Morning all from a wet Jersey. jerzeypie managed to complete 34.8 miles (55.7km) of the 48.1 mile (just under 77km) course. His mum brought him here with his right foot wrapped in bandages, which was a bit of a shock as when he phoned to say that he'd finished, he said that he was having dinner with her and nothing that he'd injured a muscle near the arch of his foot. H, he's also doing his AS exams, but because of the costs of the travel involved from here, the school encourages them to contact the Unis they're interested in with regards what they'll need for grades, whether they'll be accepted with a certain number of points, what the course involves, what there is in terms of accommodation, if it's a multi-campus Uni which campus they'll be based at before visiting the Unis they apply to. When we went to an evening about it at his school, they gave the example of someone who went to Manchester Metropolitan Uni and thought that he would be studying in Manchester - he ended up in one of the towns where they have an external campus.
I didn't know you were a super mare, thought you might have been a super stud from some of the things I've picked up about you, but not a mare.
Morning all from a windy but dry at the moment Bucks. Heading south this afternoon to Newhaven where we will get on the first ferry back tomorrow morning. I am hoping that we get off the boat a little quicker than when we arrived. It was a busy crossing and it took 45 mins to get down from the car deck. At least immigration didn't think that we looked like drug dealers and let us in quickly. Single guy in the car in front of us was pulled over to be searched. After our journeys you can tell who will be picked out before it even happens.
Mlle's teachers refused to do A2 predictions.... so I went through 4 years of papers for three exams and was spot on for both her psychology exams and 5/6 for one of her RS.... She is predicted A/B overall for each.... but could end up with three Cs...... who knows.... and how she feels afterwards seems to have no bearing...
Afternoon form a breezy and changeable bandit country. One minute the sun is out and the next it is threatening rain - I got out early and cut the grass and did a bit of tidying up. Could not get the strimmer to start, so it's either a trip to the repair shop or buy a new one

I saw in the rugby there is a team for the British and Irish Lions. Why? I thought Ãrland was part of the British islands. To me it is like saying the team of England Ãrland Skotland Wales and Ãrland.
