Well because I'm becoming somewhat lazy in my research, I compared their everton careers and there goalscoring record is pretty much exactly the same (goals per game) bearing in mind a huge amount of Beckford's games at Everton were from the bench. Leicester is the only place he hasn't scored... And besides, this was more me saying that Yakubu is bad rather than Beckford good. I've never rated Yakubu
Of the two I'd rate Yakubu the more clinical finisherfrom what I've seen of both at first hand ... they both lack 'effort' - the Yak due to excess timber whereas Beckford's is all to do with attitude. ... looks like the fee is less than £1 million so we are taking a hit on that but he was reportedly the highest earner at the club.
