I'm too young to remember that but I remember Alan Evans from Wolves to Liverpool being the first teenager to be transferred for £100,000

    Bollox too young.

When you were a boy, you could go down to the shop with 10 bob and come back with a quart of milk, 2 loaves of bread, 5 pound of best steak, a big chunk of cheese, a bottle of whiskey and still come back with change...

Can't do that any more though, too many ****ing security cameras nowadays :(

I remember the 10 bob note... and sixpences, and the oddly shaped thruppenny bit.

...and the greengrocers van that used to drive door to door with fruit and veg... and Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet.

...and I remember jumping off the sofa lying on the floor and imitating Charlie George, when he scored the winner in 1971.

Well his father at least confirmed they received a 'strong' offer from Arsenal.

Also Juve's Chairman seems to think he's pretty our player. There's alot of talk about a medical today but who knows where these stuff originates from? It's getting harder and harder to tell the truth through the mountain of rumours and bad journalism.

Not sure what is more painful, having my appendix out with a rusty hook, or following Arsenal's transfer dealings.

    I know it's insaine.

Would like to know why we are soo slow and ponderous with these things. Is it Gazidis or Wenger? or a bit of both?

The Higuain deal apparently rests on the decision of the new Madrid coach who hasn't been appointed yet so i think it's unfair to blame either Gazidis or Wenger

I'm sure we have a backup plan, as the management knew that this was the case while bidding for him.

It will eventually come down to who Higuaine wants to join,us or Juve.If he prefers to go to Juve there is nothing Arsenal can do.

This will not stop certain ****wits from still blaming the club though. That is when WW3 will break out on this board once again.
