Positive attitude, removal of deadwood. Removal of people who used to leak information and a winning mentality that pushed us upwards into the premier league.

There's no doubt Assem has done great things and we wouldn't be where we are without him(we might not even exist), but he does think we should be called Hull Tigers and it should be pointed out to him that it's a **** idea.

I understand that even his son thinks it's a **** idea.

he positions himself as somewhat of a 'man of the people' so I'd like to think the first whiff of significant fan opposition to this (if it ever got genuinely tabled) and he'd forget all about it.

Apologies if this has been mentioned, but most people refer to us as just Hull anyway, rarely is it Hull City. Either way, we as fans will always know it to be Hull City & if it does cause that much trouble then it won't last.

    Assem Allam is GOD.

In 49 years of Supporting Hull City no one has ever given so much , in such a short time as the Allam Family.

In my opinion he is the greatest owner we have ever had.

He NEVER had to lift a finger or give the club 1p

Yet he sure as f--k did.

I hope he makes his money back and a profit.

Though in my opinion it was never about making money.

    Long live the Allams

As with all owners/chairmen, the time to judge is at the end of their tenure.

The Allams on Adam Pearsons advice maybe..

    Either way....

Every single thing worked out perfect..

    Brilliant really.

    Maybe i am dumb...

    Maybe i am wrong.

But i just cant see one negative.

I envy you your unclouded optimism, but I think almost everyone has at least one reservation about them.

While the bottom line is that WE ARE UP and WE ARE PREMIER LEAGUE, that doesn't mean everything is fine, or there are no worries about playing in Welton, or Hull Tigers or the identity of our club.

I agree that at least for now it's a fantastic feeling and to be savoured.

We would always say Hull City, wouldnt we ?

Then again the young supporters might not.

Lets hope it doesnt happen...unless its to the clubs advantage in a huge way.

Same with a move out of Hull.

IF its the only way we can ever get a bigger stadium, that would be fine by me...

    Though not everyone would agree.

    Roll on the new season...

Even IF we come back down we will have a squad that we can improve on with the parachute money

Bounce back up...get another 60m and improve some more and stay up..

The future IS black and amber.

    And about time too.

    :)

Have a great day everyday , EVERYONE on Hull City Not606

The best Forum with the best poster...

I have to agree with scarboroughtiger - and let's be honest he isn't going to do anything as daft as change the colours we have played in for however many seasons (home kit I mean) as tigers are amber and black, or black and amber - unlike the Cardiff owners. As I said either earlier on this thread or on another thread the naming of Hull Tigers, Cardiff Dragons, Leeds Whippets etc etc (can't think of any other names off the top of my head) will come sooner than later - as this is all down to when the PL was formed and started taking the Murdoch millions, it happened in Cricket for one day competition, and cricket is still standing and being supported - and I actually think Hull Tigers is possibly the best name that will come out of this future rebranding of football (nearly typed soccer).

It may be that our or someone else's name does get changed........but I challenge anyone to show that it will without fail lead to increased revenue, increased numbers of supporters, bigger turnover etc.

We already have the nickname the Tigers....is that not enough?

What a load of bollocks, there's zero benefit in football clubs giving up their heritage and changing their names.
