    Morning all

Had a nice little return on ma boy Adrian Broner on points at 9/4 which will be placed on Cirrus Des Aigles in the 2:35 Saint Cloud

Seasonal reappearance is the only concern for me and that's why the tank isn't going on but he was the second best horse in training behind Frankel the last couple of seasons and should still have too much class for these

    6/4 is fair

One would think Main Sequence should have enough to see of Brown Panther as well in the 15:40 at Pontefract even with the hapless Terrence Durcan doing the steering.

Following an emotionally draining rollercoaster week at Ascot, there's some decent stuff on offer today, including two Gp races from Saint Cloud and an intriguing liste contest at Ponty. I'll be on Brown Panther in the latter, on price grounds if nothing else. Both he and the favourite have so far proved shy of top class, but will be aiming high later in the season. Tom Dascombe's charge won this race last year, is 3lbs ahead on official ratings, and looks a fair price at 2/1 in what looks a match.

Michael Bell took The Lark out of the Ribblesdale on Wednesday due to the fast ground, a decision which hopefully can be vindicated with a good run in the Gp2 Prix De Malleret following her 3rd in The Oaks.

If Cirrus Des Aigles isn't the best horse in Europe right now following the retirement of Frankel, he probably is the best gelding. He'll go on the soft ground, and on the face of it at nearly 11/4 on the exchanges he's pretty tempting. I certainly don't want to take him on, but first time out and now aged 7 today may not be the time to back him either.

Good day all! Will take a few days off to replenish my very modest betting piggybank and, so, digressing, here's a nice bit on yesterday's Brazil/Italy game from Deutsch Welle's Mark Hallam:

"Four minutes later, Neymar won a free kick on the edge of the box and - after the obligatory period of writhing on the ground - jumped up to take it himself. If he was hurt by Christian Maggio, who was booked for the foul, it didn't show." *

After watching the Lions play Oz yesterday, and see how brave and tough these guys are, they honestly should re-name Association Football? Erm, 'Baby Ball'. Neymar will be spending a lot of time 'writhing on the ground' when he plays in Europe next season, that's for bloody sure. Maybe toughen him up a bit?

*Oh yes, Neymar scored from this free kick!

Im not too sure why The Welsh Wizard is such a massive price in the 2.40 Ponte? Ran Libertarian to 1/2 L LTo and has been given a break since. And Elidor who came 3rd won at Royal Ascot during the week. Dare to achieve came 2nd behind Remote who won a group 3 but frankly that price looks silly.

Main Sequence might not need to come off the bridle here if form means anything at all, but he is a monkey of a horse and ive got a couple of quid on Saptapadi for an interest.

Surely its a two horse race Boris and on the ground MAIN SEQUENCE is surely the call. In cheekpieces today and that may help.
