First Row's been popular on here, I assume they'll start on the other "big ones" next, might mean people either endure really dire/dodgy sites or have to pay Sky and BT to watch games they can't go to.

As with Piratebay, there will be ways to access their streams still.

We can't have it both ways, if we want the £120m, we can't moan about those who provide us with that cash from protecting their investment.

There are dozens and dozens of ways to watch games online. One site going down will make no difference. Others will follow.

I am watching a game on firstrow as we speak. There are always ways around through proxies. ATDHE used to be banned, they just changed the domain extension.

Yesterday it was Thefirstrow.eu now it's firstrow1.eu and on top of that they redirect you if you typed the old one.

It's a futile exercise. All they have to do is change a few DNS entries and the block will be circumvented. If it's blocked by source IP then the proxy solution should work.

thepiratebay.se still works fine for me - anyone know if that was officially blocked in the end?

There are all sorts of solutions.

For example last year Mass Effect 3 was released in the USA three days before the UK, but I had installed it fully via Origin, (which I hate) in advance. On trying to launch on the US release date it said it was not available for another 3 days, (ie - it detected my IP address as being a UK one). Solution was to VPN to a USA server, (downloaded a client for this - forget which one) and voilá, I could launch the game there and then. A similar solution will work just fine for any site blocking.

So how would an ISP manage to remove a site completely?

I'm on sky broadband and all piratebay proxies/mirrors are now banned, or at least they dont work at all, same with kickasstorrents.

Although I haven't bothered trying to mask my IP. If it becomes a neccessity to carry on my pirate career, I might have to sail a new sea.

They ban the IPs, so you can't visit them. Sure there's ways around that, but, your ISP can track you visiting those sites, which are of course, illegal, and we saw what happened when Dazed shared RH with folks. The PL seem to be upping the ante on this too, was always gonna happen sooner or later.

as soon as you shut one down, another one springs up.
I have 3 or 4 that I can watch, I can even watch the BBC whilst here in Texas.
there are too many channels, I can watch, to list.

you can also change your ip address or run your connection through a BNC bot to hide your identity.
I have a BNC bot located in San Francisco so I can watch the latest shows in US.

IF you dont wanna screw about with a bot, there is a website you can go on..
    www.watchseries-online.eu
select index and select which show you wanna watch
click on one of the links found and it will stream.

Did that with ps3, made Japan and Hong Kong accounts do get access to exclusive DLC and games not released over here or at least a lot earlier. Surprisingly you didn't need to do any IP masking, Sony put their utmost trust in you really being where you said you were <laugh>

Fair enough to me. Sky and BT are paying more than enough to the PL and thus i would do the same. In saying that you shall always be able to find someone able and willing to stream all PL game next season. When one goes another one springs up. Laws of the jungle etc etc.

Apparently the download sites are getting blocked too - PirateBay, a while ago; Kickass and Fenopy pretty recently.

These site are blocked in the UK. But if you use proxies servers they will link you to these sites and you wont have a problem downloading or uploading <ok>

Not working for me, proxies are down too as I mentioned above. There's still plenty of sites that work though.
