    I understand why he didn't want to be Moyes' assistant after being fired by Real. It must have been a disappointment not to be offered the main job at another big club but it's probably the right career move for him to go back to Chelsea. If he can make them title challengers again he may get a crack at a big job again some day. Maybe.

    I hear Rene Meulensteen rejected the assistant manager role and went to work with Hiddink at Anzhi instead. Pretty embarrassing to get overlooked by Anzhi.
