First episode on Sky Atlantic right now.

    First aired in 1999.

Jimmy G was fine looking even back then.

    Requiescat in pace <peacedove>

I saw a trailer just the other day where he admitted he'd seen a shrink <steam>

He needed to see a dietician <whistle>

A dietician would have made him shrink, then he'd most probably still be alive.

On the down side, if that were the case we wouldn't have this thread :(

Well if you are not a fan of good acting or great scripts then there is probably not a great deal to like about the Sopranos.

I am a fan of good acting: Timothy Spall, Ian McShane, George Cole.

Two of the best comedy series ever made so yes I do watch them but we are talking drama and nothing the septics ever made comes close to Lovejoy. If crime is your thing then we have Minder, far more realistic with better scripts and has there ever been a greater acting double act than Cole and Waterman? The insinuation that I'm somehow against foreign shows is nonsense, the first series of Aufwiedersehen Pet is set almost entirely in Dusseldorf.

I'm in the middle of the first episode of Fawlty Towers on Netflix just now.

So far, he's physically assaulted Manuel about 6 times and slagged a builder about the potato famine <laugh>

I didn't think it was as good as they made out. It was all right but nothing special.

Dr Melfi - "I thought you said that after you nearly died, every day would be a gift?"

Tony S - "Yeah, but does it always have to be a pair of socks?"
